Primrose School of Rockland has been a great experience for our 1 year old son. He had a great transition from another daycare and at times doesn’t want to leave at the end of the day he is having such a great time. From a parents perspective the communication has been amazing, from day to day updates, educational planning and timely responses to parent correspondence. The woman running the facility is passionate about what she does, a great operator and has a strong staff. Have been very impressed!

Our 2 year old attended Primrose School in Rockland and absolutely loved his time. The teachers are incredibly warm and caring, creative, and communicative. They helped him transition to his new class and school easily, and he was always excited to come in (and sad to go home!). Ritu is also a fantastic administrator and owner of the school. She cares so much for her team, the community, and most importantly the kids.

My 5 year old and I have had the best experience with Primrose. My son has been in other child care centers since he was 1 year old and I can say with absolute confidence that the difference between the other places and Primrose is extremely noticeable. First of all, Primrose really works on quality with the children. I mean, my son is not just another child, but instead he is treated as someone special with a first and last name and specific needs and from the owner (Ritu), as well as the staff area, the teachers and even the chef go above and beyond and over the top in jointly strengthening the growth of each child. My son is very picky with food and the chef has been patient, helpful and wonderful to adjust to his habits and also help him experiment and try new things. Its great as a parent to know that my child is being watched and taught be caring people with the ability to connect in a super nice way with each child and always has options for children who are picky like mine. The chef also makes them participate in the importance of eating well, and invites them to her workplace (the kitchen) and tells them everything that happens in there and that makes the children connect with food from other places.Primrose is also a center that works in the community, where not only the children, but also the parents are part of the growth process of each child and Primrose encourages a healthy and responsible coexistence of parents with other parents and with all children. It truly is a very beautiful environment and all this generates a happy heart in each child. Now in the summer, Primrose has incorporated activities for the children that are specific to the weather and that excites the children while also, even just little by little, helps them associate activities with the seasons of the year. I am infinitely grateful to Primrose for having been part of this important stage for my son. I hope many parents have the opportunity to learn about the quality of the Primrose system for the benefit of our children. Congratulations Primrose for who you are and let the name of Primrose Rockland be heard loud!!!

Our son Noah started Primrose about a month and a half ago. We are so happy with how it is working out! Noah was a Covid baby and is very shy so we were concerned with his transition starting pre-school. Rhitu, the owner was wonderful in calming my nerves. Noah had a tough couple weeks getting used to school and the staff went above and beyond in helping comfort him. One of the lead teachers had tears in her eyes when I told her Noah said he came home and "made a new friend"! We feel like we made the right decision in sending our son there.

I am writing this review to share my disappointing experience with Primrose. As a concerned parent, I believe it's important to provide feedback to help other parents make informed decisions. From the outset, I had high hopes for Primrose but unfortunately, my expectations were not met. One of the primary concerns I encountered was the lack of proper communication. There were numerous instances where important information about my Twins (age 3) day was not relayed to us. As weeks later we would get pulling into the office with a list of things that supposedly happen but we were never advised of or received a report about. This left me feeling uninformed and worried about my child's well-being while at pre school. When we signed up we were advised they do potty training in early preschool and preschool. We waited a few months and noticed the potty training was not happening. We continued to do potty training on our own time but since they kids spend most of the time at school we needed that assistance from them. We started to send them to school in underwear’s and that when they started putting the kids on the potty. Sometime they would come home with no pull-up or underwear on even though they had backups. Sometime they would come home with pull-ups and underwear on top. Additionally, it was disheartening to observe a lack of attentive and engaged staff members. Things would go missing or we would have questions and not one staff member would know the answer. There was a huge lack of consistency. The boys were always in different classrooms with different teachers. At pickup time we would need to walk the whole building to see where they were for that day and if we asked no one seemed to know. There is a turn around in staff which makes it hard for the kids to have consistency in their learning environment. While I appreciate that no place is perfect, I believe these issues warrant serious attention and improvement. As a parent, it's difficult to see my child's experience compromised due to these shortcomings. The final straw for us was when one of the boys came home with dirty underwear’s. They had went #2 at school and no teacher cleaned them leaving #2 residue on our child until they came home and we noticed. Instead they changed their underwear’s 2 times. This is a health concern for us as we leave our children at daycare in hopes they will be taken care of properly. Following that incident we gave a month an a half notice that we will be leaving by October. This week we got complaints about the kids supposedly acting in ways they usually do not just to kick us out the door without any notice. Mind you both kids are in different classes but both were supposedly acting out of the ordinary after just 2 days of us giving notice that we are pulling them from childcare in October. This facility main concern is the money they bring in and not the health, safety or education of these children. The owners have no child care background but yet they are running the place and not taking any feedback into consideration. We have caught them in a few lies. Just the other day we were advised they are fully/over staffed now but yet today at pickup they have a hiring teacher sign outside. This is just to describe the inconsistencies that we have dealt with. On a positive note it is a new building and everything is updated and clean but there is more to childcare than just that.I sincerely hope that Primrose takes these concerns seriously and takes proactive steps to address them. Parents trust and rely on daycare and preschool facilities to provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for their children. It's my hope that my feedback will contribute to positive changes that benefit both current and future families. In conclusion, I regret to say that my experience with Primrose has been disappointing and falls short of the standards I had hoped for. I hope that my review serves as a catalyst for improvement and that the daycare/preschool takes necessary actions to rectify these issues.Sincerely,

We are coming up on 1 year at Primrose and have had an incredible experience thus far! My son (2 years old) LOVES school, and genuinely gets excited to go every day. Yesterday he cried when we picked him up because he didn’t want to leave. The curriculum and activities are not something we could replicate at home, and we plan to send our twin boys when they are a little bit older! Highly highly recommend.

Our son has been attending Primrose School of Rockland since November 2023. He is in the Early Pre-School class and is absolutely thriving. Over the course of the year, I have watched his language explode and that is due to the curriculum and his incredible teachers at Primrose. There is so much to love about Primrose- the app that you get updates and photos to keep you in the loop on your child’s day, the management, the extra events (firetruck visit, baby goats, even an Easter egg hunt), themed days (Wacky Wednesday, Crazy Hair Day, etc), the new facilities, snacks and lunch being included, building security measures, and the communication parents have with teachers. We feel grateful we found Primrose.

I wish my daughter had the chance to experience Primrose, but the admissions process we had was...shocking. On a Friday I went on a tour, met the owner. The first question I answered was what we were looking for, and I said part-time care. A teacher showed us around, and then we met back with the owner of the school. I asked what the enrollment process was and how was the waitlist. She shuffled some papers and clearly said, well we have no waitlist right now but that could change fast. My family took the long holiday weekend (school was closed) to discuss and decided to enroll on the Tues.I called Tues AM, the woman who answered said I needed to bring the enrollment deposit in person. We stopped by that early afternoon with paperwork and a check. The owner came out and said thanks, I'll let you know Friday. I was confused. I said I thought there wasn't a waitlist? She said she 'didn't know' how long it was or if they had one. They took my check anyways and said thanks, this is non-refundable. My husband called later that day to clarify, and she said "I never told your wife there wasn't a waitlist. We could have had 5 signups over the weekend". How is that true if the school was closed and deposits need to be made in person? Anyways Friday came long, she said just 3 days a week was available and 7 kids were in line for 2 days a week. We declined. The whole thing was bananas. Just a cautionary tale to get all your info in writing if you proceed with Primrose, I'm sure it's a lovely school.

It is early in our Primrose experience, but as our 17-month-old daughter wraps up her second week, we could not be more thrilled with our experience. The building and equipment are brand new as of September 2022 and beautiful. Our classroom, the playground, and even common spaces like hallways and foyers are intentionally organized and created to support our daughter. The staff they've assembled is experienced, attentive, and truly care about my daughter and her well-being: they notice the foods she likes and doesn't like, they give her hugs when she misses mom and dad, and they are clearly committed to her safety and learning. And did I mention they provide lunch? That's right, no more packing lunch every day! The ownership and leadership at the center are highly competent, organized, and very friendly and supportive. I can't overstate how relieved I am that we've found Primrose and how happy I am that we are all on this journey together!

Primrose School of Rockland opened its doors this September and we’ve had a great experience so far. My toddler loves going and feels safe. It’s clean, the staff are great, and they offer a well-balanced breakfast, two snacks, and lunch daily. My little one has learned so much already within her first three weeks. I’m so happy we found this school.
