Do NOT Ever Rent from Thrifty at Boston Logan!!!! We (a party of 5) arrived at Boston Logan at 5:15 pm. As the rental was in my name, I headed on a bus to the Car Rental Center. I was 9th in line at the Thrifty. After checking in at the initial desk, I was directed to an outdoor kiosk, where my car would be handed over. NOT SO FAST. After wading through approximately 50 other people (all looking pretty angry), the person at the kiosk informed me that I would get a car in 30 minutes. They were cleaning and prepping vehicles (allegedly). About every 20-25 minutes, clean cars came into the lot and names were read. After 90 minutes -- yes, 90 minutes, a woman emerges from a FILTHY Expedition and finally my name is called. We pulled out of the Airport at 7:15 pm TWO HOURS after arriving at the airport. Do NOT rent from these idiots. The inside of the car was equally filthy and we could barely see out the windows. This is the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL business I have ever had the displeasure of renting from.

Really friendly staff here, they helped us out loads and made renting our car very easy.My only negative (and this is directed more at Thrifty than the rental office) is that all the functions of the car were disabled (presumably because it is a budget car place). So things like cruise control doesn’t work - even though there are controls there for it. Quite frustrating as it would clearly make zero difference if they were active! Still, car was overall decent and well maintained and a good price too of course.A minor update - be very careful about the ‘tolls’ option. We elected for the $6/day, when used, option when we were at the counter. However this was not added onto our option and we got charged $96 for the week!

I WILL NEVER EVER EVER RENT A CAR FROM THRIFTY AGAIN...EVER!!! The line currently has 42 people waiting to be helped by 2 agents, what a load of crap!! We cancelled & booked with Enterprise...no line!

Not only do I have a whole RESERVATION and CONFIRMATION number, I stood in this long a$$ line for almost 2 hours only for the reservationist to tell me that they can't honor my RESERVATION because they don't have any cars⁉⁉⁉⁉She then proceeds to tell me to just try another counter. Are you for real????? @thriftycarrental your service is deplorable and you will NEVER have to worry about me as a customer.

Roughly a week and a half ago, my best friend and I went to this location to rent a car and when we got there, there was a wait due to one Agent taking care of multiple guests (there were a large group of Managers there for a site inspection or meeting) so the process took a little longer than expected. He processed our reservation and we informed the Agent we would return the car at closing time, which was 6pm.On the day we were returning the rental, my best friend and I showed up a bit before 5.30pm. Inside the office, once again there was a wait of other guests with the same one Agent that we had purchased the rental from a couple of days earlier (one guest was particularly annoyed because he had been waiting for more than hour because he was told the location didn't have a car for him even though he made the reservation weeks in advance and was using the rental to go to Florida). My best friend and I waited and she was approached by a Manager about 20 to 25 minutes later (a woman with short, curly hair with tanned skin) who processed our return, inspected the car, and moved the car somewhere else on the lot. She gave my friend her receipt and continued to process the other guests who had been waiting after us since there was a wait.A week later, my best friend is charged almost double the amount of what we were quoted and was told over the phone by the Hertz Call Center representative that she was charged a "late fee" because the car was returned late. Late being we waited more than 30 minutes to be helped since the location only had one Agent taking care of guests. My best friend went in person to the office and was rudely dismissed by that same female Manager who processed our return, stating that nothing could be done, the charges could not be reversed because they are processed by the computer, and that we should have not returned the car late. This entire experience has put us off from Thrifty and has made us look at other rental car companies with at least decent customer service. Never again! Guests need to check their receipts and statements to see if they are being overcharged, their customer service needs an overhaul, and if guests are going to wait more than 40 minutes for service, proper service recovery needs to be implemented! And by the way, no one from Hertz/Thrifty has been helpful after reaching out to them after this experience!

Awful experience at this thrifty rented with them November 16th-19th.They tried to charge penalty for smoking in vehicle which never happened I had taken a video when I picked up the car and seat had a cigarette burn. Droves from NY to MA tolls were $25 which were charged a week after drop off were now December 12th and I got a alert from BofA they are charging another $77.70 total scam.

Accidentally drove into here looking for another park n fly company. Went to turn around, but there were two Escalades blocking the exit. This was at 5 am, they didn't open until 9. Called police who gave a number to call, called him 33 times to no answer. Ended up essentially breaking out by risking my tires and back tracking over the spikes with their parking signs as leverage. Horrible, no good business practice trapping people like that. Also the place down the road was 120 dollars cheaper and better service

Prepaid for parking for Boston airport & it is a scam. Stuck for 45 minutes. An employee of Hertz rental showed up & assisted me to get out of my predicament as I had to drive over spike strips & could not back out of entrance.

WARNING - REMOVE VALUABLES FROM YOUR CAR. THEY KEEP THE KEYS! Place is definitely convenient, and cheaper than Logan, however I returned to find $5-10 dollars worth of change missing from my center console. I then found two $5 loosing M*** lottery scratch tickets under my seat...I never play and I live in another state! Did they take my car to the store?!?!? And use my change to buy those tickets?!?!?! WTF Then when I returned to retrieve my car, they had it parked in the middle of a puddle the size of a small lake. My sneakers were soaked getting into my car and I had to move it to get my luggage in the water was so deep! Shuttle Drivers are were the only good part for me.

When I picked up my car there was a mysterious toenail clipper in the center console cup holder and the $1 bills (14 of them in this case) I keep in the dash compartment for toll roads was gone. When I took the nail clippers back in to give them to whoever it was working there, he just said, "Thats gross." Agreed. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the toll cash was gone until I needed it on the drive home. :( When I arrived I couldn't tell where to go to drop off the car and finally I just drove closer to the building and asked the guy who was moving cars around. He gave me vague instructions, but I guess they moved the car if I didn't park correctly. The guys working in the office were snarky and when I arrived, the guy who pulled up my reservation said my first name had been entered as my last name as well, but apparently he didn't correct it because when I returned to the airport (BOS) and called for a pick up they were not able to find me easily in the computer using my name. I will say the shuttle drivers were both lovely and very good drivers. Still, I'll pay a little more and / or park a little further from the airport next time.

Very rude staff. Damage to my car. Thank god I took pics in the lot that showed it was fine before I left if. They didn't put the ticket to leave in my car when we were dropped off so the guy at the gate was also very rude and made me go back inside to print another to leave. That's after I had to ask him about 20 times what he needed. He just kept saying u can't leave but wouldn't tell us what we needed to leave. Raised his voice and just closed his window. Then I was told by the staff inside I must have lost it. Yea blame me for you guys not putting it on my dash or telling us there would be a paper u need to leave. Also there's no verification on whose car it was cuz I walked in said I need a new paper to take the car they just said sure. I could have been anyone. Horrible business don't go wish 0 stars was an option.

I left my personal keys along with the rental key in the ignition. I called them as soon as I realized what I had done. All that needed to happen was for someone to look in the ignition of the car I returned and there they would be. It's been almost a month now and they still haven't found them. I know it was my fault but I simply can't believe that no one is willing to help with this. I've emailed, called the location, contacted customer service and nothing has been done.
