5pm December 17 2022. I walked in the store and no one was at the register or in the store. After a few minutes, a male came out of the storage room w a box. He entered the cashier counter and I asked to purchase a scratch card. I then went to the table to check the scratch card. Bought another and did the same. I noticed he grunted in disgust every time I approached the counter for my purchase. After the third purchase and grunt, I asked him if his reaction was regarding his task or me, he responded "both!" Taken aback, I left the store. The cashier name tag said "Nate."I went further down the street, Main Street, and found Reading Quick Stop. The Gentleman behind the counter was very polite as he greeted me upon my entering the store and waa very patient with all customer requests and lots of the customers he called by their name. I asked the cashier his name, he said "Dan," and asked me my name. I will make purchases at Reading Quick Stop and recommend if you are not purchasing gas, to do the same; we need to support our Small Businesses anyway!!Thanks Dan at Reading Quick Stop!!Shame on you, Nate!!This store is not worthy of any stars, thanks to Nate's rude comment, body language, absence from being at the entrance, and lack of customer service!!

First of all reading and stoneham need to do better on providing the town with open gas stations at night. Lastly this Shell gas station is by far the worst of the bunch.

Everyone should do their part with this pandemic. Multiple times and multiple employees refusing to wear facemasks even though there are signs on the door saying masks required.
