I first met Laura at Amesbury Animal Hospital, and she ventured out on her own. As a mobile unit your pets are not stressed and she is an excellent vet tech. I would highly recommend her services.

I've been taking my two dogs (aussie mix & yorkiepoo) to Sassy Paws consistently for about a year and cannot say enough good things about them. I had tried several groomers in the area that either weren't consistent with quality of the cuts or just completely missed the mark as far as what we were looking for in our dogs' haircuts or used far too much perfume etc. Their location is clean and I love to follow their Instagram for shop updates and cute pup pics as well. Definitely recommend!

We adopted our lil goofball Day-O six months ago and his nails were pretty long. We didn't know if he had ever experienced professional grooming, or how he would do with the sounds/smells/new people. I hadn't ever taken any of my past dogs to a groomer (they were all very reluctant diy/at home bathers) but I knew that Melinda had a great business going and she was the person to ask. Turns out, the groomers is one of Day-O's favorite outings now! He nearly drags me in and where he's usually velcro'd to my side, he RUSHES to Rachel (who's now his regular groomer) and doesn't even notice if I'm still there! Haha! A quick text with the total and notice that he's ready to pick up will come in about 45 mins- 1 hr later and boom; we've got a great smelling doggo again! Highly recommend their services!

We’ve been taking our puppy to the North Reading location since we got him in April. They not only do a great job but they’ve also been very patient with our puppy who has overexcitement issues. I’ll admit I don’t have anything to compare them to, but I’m also not feeling to need to look elsewhere!

WOW. I can't say enough about how happy I am with my pup's virgin voyage to Sassy Paws. The groomers there were AMAZING and really listened to what I wanted for my dog. It has taken me years to find someone who knows how to keep my long haired daschund's double coat intact while removing mattes amd cleaning up her messier areas. My doxie looks and smells wonderful. And all of her crazy shedding seems to have greatly lessened. Already booked her next appointment. THANKS Sassy Paws!! ;)))

Sassy Paws did a beautiful job cutting our 25 lb double coated pup. She looks and smells great! They did the whole service in 2 hours, which we were pretty surprised by, because usually it takes half a day and drying takes really long. Not sure how they get it done so quickly. Our dog's favorite part was running around and playing with all the other dogs who were waiting to get groomed lol. Our pup definitely loves the "cage-free" stay! The service was not cheap, but they did a really great job- no stray hairs for me to clean up once I brought her home. Happy to support a local business!

Sassy Paws Pet Styles in North Reading turned my mop-of-a-pup into a beauty dog. It is hard to believe she is the same dog! It was easy to make an appointment and text vaccine information.

I took my Maltese here for almost 5 years, my dog was not good with other dogs he would always shake before going and would be very withdrawn a few days after grooming. Because of that, I would ask to make appointments when there would not be a long of dogs there. In the past year he grew more fearful (he had a heart murmur and I didnt realize that it was not good for him to get stressed like that. Anyhow, the second last time I took him, when we got home as I took him out of the car, he had a severe diarrhea mess that ruined the grooming. When I called to let Malinda know what happened I was told I could either bring him right back and they would rewash him ( I live 45 minutes away) it was on a Friday, it was almost 4 pm no way I could make it there, I asked if I could come the next day but, was told I couldn't. The last time I brought him, Malinda was not there yet (she was his groomer) , so I said I would wait with him, as he gets real anxious and is not good with other dogs. Another groomer (who clearly didnt like me) got very nasty and said he has "no problem with other dogs" and she said it very rudely to me, she then proceeded into the washroom and banged something as to show she was angry. I felt that was very unprofessional and just made me feel uncomfortable. A few days later, my dog got very ill, so we brought him to the vet. Sadly, we were told he is dying of congestive heart failure. So I called and left a message of what was going on, and said I wouldn't be able to take him anymore, because the stress of grooming would be too much for him (his Vet told us that). After almost 5 yrs of taking my dog there, I did not even get a phone call from Malinda. Not to say she was sorry, nothing. That was very disappointing to me. I have always felt that perhaps because in the past I had asked for his cut to be fixed a few times (hey you pay good money for a service you have a right to be happy with it) and didnt like the way one of the groomers who did him (she is the one who snapped at me ) and the fact I had to make special appointments, I was perhaps viewed as a difficult customer. I got a call about a month ago, reminding me of his appointment, and again, I told the girl that my dog is dying and we cant go. I also messaged Malinda on Facebook to tell her of the situation. And for a woman who claims to love animals, and have a dog that had been going there for several years, it was very, very disappointing to me, that we were clearly, not valued customers. And how I know she wasn't fond of us, when dogs get groomed they take photos and post them. And for all the years we went there, she only posted a photo of Sydney once. I know it may sound silly, but, I think its kind of crappy. Malinda is a great groomer, she was the only one who gave him a great grooming. I just feel really bad, that not even a call or acknowledgment.
