They just charged me $153 dollars for $40 worth of gas I requested. Then made me come to their store rushed within one hour for the refund to be processed in the store with my card, but refused to make the situation right by filling my tank with the 25 miles of wasted gas I was triple charged for and then had to take an hour out of my day and drive completely out of the way back to this poor excuse of an establishment for them to process the refund when it was convenient for them (rushed and within one hour). I caution and warn anyone from getting gas from the fraudulent place that doesn’t actually care about making things right in replenishing the wasted gas I was forced into using to get there within an hour and leave my work to do so. So in turn, not only lose time and gas in my day, but also work dollars. I will never be returning here. GET YOUR GAS SOMEPLACE ELSE where you can hand over your hard earned money with the comfort knowing that it will be processed properly the first time.

I've been a customer of Reading petroleum for years. I gotta to say I don't understand the negative reviews at all. While I can't say I've had any significant service done on my vehicle there, I've certainly purchased a ton of gasoline from them. Each time no matter how cold or hot it is outside someone quickly comes and attends to my vehicle. I found their demeanor to be pleasant and friendly. A few times I needed to fill my tire with air or needed minor help with something on the car they've always been willing to do help, and always with a smile or at least a witty but still friendly joke. Every year I get my inspections done here as well. Again, no problems. One time they left a little extra residue from a previous sticker on the window and I asked if they could help with that. They not only cleaned the sticker off but also cleaned the whole inside of my window. Again, with a smile. In general, I find it hard to complain about a gas station that typically has some of the lowest priced fuel in town. Plus, they pump it for you whether it's hot, cold, raining, snowing, or super windy. These guys are great!

I had just switched over my license plates from DC to Mass. As a result, I needed a state inspection. I was in the area during the early Saturday afternoon and decided "why not, I have time," so I drove into Reading Petroleum for a state inspection. To my dismay, they had just finished inspections for the day, as 2 pm was their closing time. However, an employee walked up and offered to do the inspection regardless. During the inspection, we had a nice conversation, which is something I always do to get acquainted with the technician / mechanic working on my car. In my experience, technicians / mechanics who are eager to share their knowledge and acquaint themselves with their customers are usually proficient and good employees - and he passed the test. Moreover, this gas station is a full service gas station, which is not something I've seen more than a couple times since leaving Oregon 12 years ago. I was so happy with their service that I decided to give them more of my business and asked them to fill up my gas tank. My only minor complaint is that the other employee who was filling up my car had topped off my tank after the fuel nozzle had clicked. While tons of people do this, it is actually bad for your car, as it could damage the vapor recovery system, which costs $$$ to repair.

Hmm, can't speak for the other reviews on this page, but I had a good experience getting a MA inspection sticker this morning. I was hurrying to catch a train at the Reading train station, and the guy doing my sticker inspection did a quick thorough job to make sure I made it to my train in time, which I definitely appreciated.

Great service. Shout out to my gas guy, he is awesome. Reading (the town in general) always feels personable. Like family. Support your local gas station. They pump it for you. Don't rip off like big name chains.
