I initially had a good stay at first the morning staff was friendly and helpful. The cleaning crew were nice. Everything is conveniently located here. I tried to extend an extra night at this location. I asked the late shift front staff with longer locs if we could extend the night. He curtly said no we’re sold out. He didn’t check the system to verify or anything of that nature. That was not true. They had several rooms available I was able to repurchase again through Expedia and the front desk morning staff helped me with the extension and card. The late night front desk man simply did not want to do his job and did not care to help me.

Breakfast was okay. I've had better. I asked for fresh towels but only got the big ones. Overall, it was a very nice and comfortable stay.

We reserved 6 rooms a few days prior to our arrival, with a note saying that we will be arriving late, we showed up around midnight, exhausted and ready to get some sleep, the manager had given our rooms away with no notice and gave us some flimsy excuse about someone with the same name (?) canceling our rooms a few days before(???) Very rude, no apology, poor excuse for a manager. Don't stay here. UPDATE: we were stranded and had to drive to Rhode Island in the middle of the night and they STILL charged us for the rooms that they had canceled. Absolutely garbage establishment

Hallway wall paper is coming off. No door knob or lock on the bathroom door. Dirty carpets that smelled of urine. Couch and wall behind was splattered with brown stuff. The room smelled as though they were trying to cover up a scent. Housekeeping entered our room when we had the privacy door hanger on AND told them not to enter we will pick new towels up at the front desk. Ridiculous! And all that was said was “oh we will talk to them about that”

Holiday Inn is our preferred hotel especially since we are IGH members and they have great breakfast and rooms are fresh. We have stayed in different Holiday Inns in New York, DC, Seattle, Charlotte, Los Ángeles, and Orlando many times. But unbelievable, really?! Usually I read the hotel stay reviews and don't believe them because it impossible it could have happened but it happen to us. We were in town for a softball tournament with our daughter at Boston College and got to the hotel almost at 12AM. Tired, nerves wired, carrying a ton of things - the only thing we wanted was to check in and go to bed, which usually is a 10 minute process. NOPE, not this time. Felt like we got a lecture on putting a card on file to pay - really?! A 10 minute process took almost 30 minutes - strike 1. He had the nerve to tell us he almost canceled our reservation even after we called Issac (day shift front desk) early to tell them we were arriving late. Very rude. Ask the same person for extra pillows, and he "only" had one and it looked like a pillow case full of sheets - strike 2. Finally went to the room, annoyed, and did my pre room check, just to make sure for no bugs. All the sheets seemed dirty on the bed and as if they were not changed from the previous guest. I called downstairs to the rude front desk person and told me to go down to go get the sheets, we were willing to change it ourselves. Again he chose to give me a lecture of "in 5 years he has never heard of dirty sheets" and gave me sheets one by one as if I was bothering his evening at the front - strike 3. So inconsiderate, that another customer (with tattoos that looked cool) that was waiting even told me "that's why I moved to the West Coast, their so rude here." My evening was messed up.After having to redo our bed and settle down, we were finally able to jump in bed a little after 1AM. The bed was comfortable - which was the saving grace of our evening. The following morning breakfast was good as per Holiday Inn standard - another saving grace. I went to ask for a late checkout at the front desk and was told "no, have to ask the morning of checking out" - odd, strike 1. Went to drink more coffee and cranberry juice. Went back to the front desk again to ask if they had a razor and shaving cream and they did not have since "they ran out" - it was FRIDAY 9AM WHAT THE HELL - strike 2. Go back upstairs and saw the cleaning ladies and asked them for extra towels - and they were nice but only gave us one. When we got back to the hotel that evening, the same annoyed worker from the previous evening was there so I didn't bother even going to ask for nothing - knowing the answer as per the customer service received last night. When in the bathroom realized, great even the vent was not working. Final day there - wife woke up with a headache for a second morning in a row because the pillows SUCKED, even the fake one they gave us - strike 3. I went and asked again about a late check out and was told "no, their full - you can leave at 11:30AM". This meant we had to rush out after breakfast and spend 4 idle hours driving around Boston until daughters game started. And finally, when told we can stay until 11:30AM, had hotel staff knocking on all the doors of the parents as if "why you still here?". The worst Holiday Inn experience in the 15 years of traveling with my family. Late check in customer service experience was horrible to the point that it left a bad taste in my mouth and could not wait to leave - saving grace was the breakfast, coffee, cranberry juice and the bed after it was changed. I thought it was a Boston thing but I have stayed at other hotels in Boston and they have been top notch. I even stayed at a hostel (yeah exactly) and they were even the sweetest people there. But here at this Holiday Inn, really put me over the edge.

Let me start off by saying I'm totally disappointment with my stay at this hotel. Which is sad because I stayed there last year and it was a wonderful stay. My family and I traveled 13 hours by car (with kids )only to get there and be given a handicap Dirty carpet, non working bathroom door with no handle, dirty and broke window shade room. Also a miniature ironing board ( we asked for a full size and the manager "Nancy " told me I had to keep what I had in the room but when she left Mike gave me another one!) He was the night front desk worker. So when I told the manager that the room wasn't acceptable she wasn't accommodating and very rude. Her reply was, some kids trashed the room the hotel was fully booked and she would ONLY give me $50 off my TOTAL stay! I had a reservation for four days. Issac, the front desk day worker refuse to give the general manager's number only email and he was just as rude as Ms. Nancy the hotel manager!*Mike ( the night front desk worker) however was very nice and tried to make my stay better.*I will never stay there again, customer service was awful!I took pictures also!

We spent every night at a Holiday Inn Express during this trip. This one I would steer clear from.We arrived after check-in time but were told the room was not ready. Waited another 30 mins or so, which I don't mind because I would rather have a clean room. Unfortunately, this was not the case.Common areas look fine and taken care of. As soon as you leave the lobby, the carpets are stained and food all over the stair wells. We stayed for 3 days and it was never vacuumed. common areas I don't mind because that's not where we spent our time. Our room unfortunately was not any better. The floors were not only stained but sticky, you could hear and feel your socks pulling away from the fabric. The bathroom floor seemed to be clean until you looked along the edges. The walls and ceiling had stains, damage or burn marks. The bedding also was not changed and had yellow stains from the previous occupant. When we asked for new sheets, the cleaning staff were reluctant and definitely did not appreciate me asking for clean bedding. They stormed in and changed the one sheet even though there were more stains on the rest of the bed, then remade the bed. Definitely the worst part, I didn't feel like dealing with them further, so I walked to the front desk and asked for a full set so I could change the pillow cases and cover sheet myself. The front desk staff were fine, chatting with him about his school courses for electrical engineering. The staff running the breakfast were great also, easy to chat with, and kept the area stocked and clean.

6/9/23: I am updating my review because after many calls, Twitter DMs and emails, I was able to speak to the manager at the property who refunded me my money. Amine was very nice and took my word for it that I did not cause any damages, and refunded me promptly.I checked out this morning after 2 nights. I had some minor issues, couple lights not working, no hot water this morning (I heard other guests complaining about the hot water too,) very noisy neighbors that were not taken care of. None of which I complained about. However what I am furious about is that I checked my credit card statement and I was charged a random $1400. I call and they are accusing me of breaking a tv, one I did not even use. No one reached out to me or anything, just a sudden $1400 charge. I am waiting for a manger to call me now but this is unacceptable. It sounds to me like they’re committing fraud, and I’ve seen other 1 star reviews mentioning extra charges as well. Buyer beware.
