This is the type of bank where if you have a quick question, you have to wait on hold 20 minutes before they can answer the phone. Just tells you how much they are looking to “help and support”.By wasting your time.

I have two(2) personal accounts and one(1) business account with Eastern Bank. I went there on 12/27/21 to withdraw money from my savings and deposited it to my business accounts. The teller refused to accept my State ID by requiring two forms of ID. The Manager in charge told me that is their policy when other branches do not require two forms of ID's when you are an Eastern Bank Customer.I am disappointed!!

I had a rough Saturday morning just from going to stores just wanting to cash my check but no one can help me.. until I decide to open up a bank account with eastern I walk in and I was greeted with a hello and how can I help you.. I would have to say Todd the assistant branch manager was amazing he was friendly and very professional he made sure all my questions was answered.. and made sure I understood everything that the bank has to offer.. the number one reason that made me write this review is he made conversation with my son while he was waiting for me to sign my documents I came in not to happy but left has a happy coustomer thank you Todd

I have been banking with Eastern bank for almost 20 years. In those 20 years the closed my local branch, their inability to answer what turned out to be a simple question about refinancing my mortgage cost me over $12,000 in interest over 2 years, (The question was how to calculate one's income to debt ration and how is it applied), they close their local branch and they "upgraded" their online banking web site add several steps to every function doubling the time I spend at my desk paying bills and got rid of a function that added my payments to payees for me making tax time even more time consuming because now I had to add everything up by hand but still I stayed with them. Well because, "The devil you know..." But last night was the final straw. While driving hone a saw a billboard lit up with the proclamation that says Eastern Back support the domestic terrorist organization Black Lives Mater. I fund it interesting they chose this name but instead of advocating for school choice for inner city children they prefer to burn down local businesses in these neighborhood, instead of directing their outrage at the violence in black neighborhoods that killed a 20 month old baby in Chicago, a 77 year old retired black man in Minneapolis they chose to attack law enforcement across the nation because one bad cop killed a criminal, George Floyd, who had been convicted among other of beating an African American woman who was 5 months pregnant with 4 of his thug friends during a home invasion. Eastern Bank has chosen to support a group, BLM, who spends more energy tearing down statues Abraham Lincoln, George Washing and Thomas Jefferson while beating intimidating and killing anyone who opposes them. BLM cares nothing for the children that are dying everyday in the urban battle zones and with their support of BLM, Eastern Bank is just an other wealthy corporation that has decided it is just easier to pay the thugs than make a stand for the suffering of the people that are being exploited. So after 20 years I will be closing out my accounts as soon as I can find a bank that cares about the community it serves

Don't bother with this branch, honestly....the tellers are nice, but one of their customer service agents cannot read credit reports accurately. Caused me to have to do a lot of work that wasn't necessary due to her being inept.
