“A friend of mine has gone on and on about Gowell's (he grew up nearby) for years, and I was finally able to try them for myself when I received a nice, giant box of assorted chocolates for my sugar-loving heart. My box is a mix of milk and dark chocolates, and has creamy centers, caramels, nuts and maybe some others I haven't tried yet. The chocolate is smooth, the smell is heavenly and the chocolate covered marshmallow was exceptional. As was the one with the strawberry center! He said the malted milk balls are great, hopefully that will be the next thing I get to try!”

I love that they are selling a special tin of chocolates to celebrate their 100th anniversary and support the Alzheimer's association.
It doesn't hurt that they have the cutest ice cream parlor, too!”
“Received three kinds of the candy as a gift for my 90th birthday. Needless to say, I am hooked. Fantastic doesn't really describe it but I will no longer be using my previous candy stores. You notice I said plurals. This was the best gift I received in celebrating my 90th birthday. Of course there was some small bottles of wine to go with it. L Truthfully this gift was outstanding. Unsure about how they survive after the pandemic, but I received a Christmas gift from a family member, and okay, the candy, it’s the absolute one of the best candies I’ve ever had! Feeling blessed to have tasted such deliciousness. I am thinking about might visiting the store someday in person and say: hey! Thank you. I really love your caramels!”
