This is one of the best organizations to volunteer for. It is extremely well run and by being able to match books with the requests of prisoners who write in for their list of books, one is filled with a humbling feeling knowing one has made one man/woman spend one less lonesome afternoon alone with book in hand. The Prison Book Program takes great care in every step to make a difference in the world. A very, very good organization. Volunteer! You will not regret it.

This is a wonderful organization, which mails books upon request to prisoners across the country, many of whom have no one else who can send them reading materials. Books open the mind.
