From Prison Book Program
The mission of Prison Book Program is to support people in prison by sending them free books and print resources that meet their needs and interests. Founded in 1972, we send books to incarcerated readers in 49 states, Puerto Rico, and Guam. We also provide an engaging volunteer experience that educates people about the American prison system. We hold volunteer sessions four times a week. We welcome drop offs of book donations during volunteer sessions.
