The absolute WORST bank branch of citizens I have ever experienced. PERIOD. There is only one gentleman in there whom is helpful by the name of Alec and he is the only reason for 2 stars, other than this, ZERO STARS for this branch...I'm not sure if the young gentleman with blonde spiked hair is a manager or teller. He clearly spends more time on a smoke break than doing his job. Whatever he is. Worst customer service. This bank is located next to my job, this gentleman persistently smokes cigarettes and throws them along side of my jobs building and sometimes leaves them on our window sill. He does not cater to any requests or needs and complains about any and all requests while having an attitude.Good luck to any banking at this location....

Jack McMullenSome Thoughts on the way Citizens Bank Handled a Recent Branch Incident in December 2022I banked with Citizens (and its predecessor banks) in Burlington, Vermont and Cambridge, Massachusetts, the former for 27 years and the latter for over 40 years. For all of that time I had cordial relations at both locations and with the managers and tellers resident in the two branches I used in each city. Burlington branch is terrific. Central Square Cambridge has become another story. For most of my 40 years of patronage the branch served me well. I was a satisfied customer. Then late in 2022 the management and many of the tellers in that branch were changed over wholesale. They do not know their customer and apparently don't care to. They changed long standing practices which led to a heated dustup with one of the new tellers transferred from elsewhere (my fault for losing my temper with her and her fault for total inflexibility in insisting on rejecting a deposit containing a check deposited the old way for more than a decade).Ironically, after I left the branch I walked to the Portland Street branch nearby and deposited the rejected check (so resisted by that new teller) without incident. Then instead of asking for a meeting about the incident, the bank simply sent a pre-emptive letter closing my seven accounts, corporate and personal, blowing up my ability to operate and receive direct deposits (SSN check and other links). The letter said the decision was final, do not contact the bank. The letter gave 30 days grace but was sent to my Vermont office so only 10 days remained when I returned there from Cambridge.Needless to say when an action like this is taken the bank knows full well the disruptive effect it will have and doubtless intended that. It has taken hours upon hours to restore my ability to operate my business and personal accounts.Despite over four decades of fairly good experience with Citizens (and its predecessor banks) I cannot recommend a bank that acts in such a summarial manner and potential customers reading this report should not take the risk of banking there either.Sincerely, Jack McMullen

I avoid this citizens bank branch at ALL costs. The RUDEST staff. They really make you feel like they don’t care about your time or needs. The young woman working there told me “she was too busy” to help me- and was rude when she finally finished her task to help customers in the 5-person-deep line. This same employee tried to convince me to use an ATM when no one else was in the branch on another day. Talk about delusional/zero customer service skills. I wish I knew her name. I would call to complain but came here instead.

Been going to this branch for many years and I never had any problems. Until Marta today. I had a payment plan with CB (a verbal promise to pay a second half of $200 within 60 days.) This came just a week ago from a compassionate telephone agent. Well, I checked my account via app today and they didn't honor this promise, they closed it anyways. I figured it would be easier to speak to someone in the branch. Boy way I wrong. Marta offered me help by providing me the debt collection agency number. I pleaded with her for assistance and she refused because I didn't have the telephone agent's Name and ID number. She was passive aggressive and derogatory. She said she didn't want to go back and fourth. I told her I was shocked as a twenty year customer who was promised something. I let her know my vehicle was stolen and that's why my account went negative (to pay deposit to car rental agency for insurance paid rental.) She didn't care. I also told her because I had $100 deposited very recently to take the negative account down (more than half the sum) I felt I shouldn't have recently been charged a $10 monthly account fee. She said well you need deposit in your account. She clearly wasn't listening. Anyways, after I told the assistant who appeared nice enough I will never return here I realized after leaving I left my debit card. My husband went bank into the branch with me and asked Marta if she had the debit card I left behind. She said she threw it away. Wow. Nice of her to tell me? I told her she had no right without informing me. She told me it was my job as a customer to be nice to her?! I asked her for her card. Marta clapped at me and said "I'm done with you" while she laughed. I was so embarassed. I stood there shocked thinking all the years I banked here. She then proceeded to scream at me, "Get out of MY bank!" I'm talking mentally ill scream. She then threatened police. So I left the building and called customer service. This is why I wanted my bank card. The automated system asks for my debit card number. Now I don't have it. This woman Marta MUST be on tenure because she clearly thinks she can say and do anything?! Luckily for me I did record the second visit when I came to retrieve my card as I had a feeling they wanted to do something to my card. I will be uploading it soon and probably posting it here. Good luck with this woman.... It's my responsibility as a customer to be nice? Did I just wake up in a parallel universe?

I opened a checking account this year and I was told when I opened it that I had a $200 overdraft. So I used the overdraft without a second thought. Then I noticed an overdraft fee. I called and said I have a $200 overdraft? So they removed the fee and apologized. Then I noticed 5 overdraft fees. I called and was told that I had no overdraft protection at all. Pretty deceptive practices at this bank. Be very careful and do not trust this branch.

I had an issue with a check and called ahead regarding Marta was a genuine and kind voice on the other side of the line explaining she could help and to come right in. They settled the issue and Ianna the teller was able to help me too! They love what they do and do it with a smile (under their masks of course!)

This is the worst bank. In may I used the drive up ATM it took my checks and did give me a chance to place my deposit. I went inside to file a Claim. I was told the ATM is a 3 rd party machine. I had to wait a week . The Claims department said that they could not find my checks. Then on June 13 I made a cash withdrawal then a deposit it took my 140 dollars cash and gave me a receipt and said it could not make a cash deposit, and to contact the bank. I was told I had to wait a few days. I came back. Spoke to a bank representative. He went in the back room looked for my missing checks and found them in 5 mins. He could not figure why the denied my claim . The letter provid, that the bank was lying. Hmm now let's see if they find my missing 140.00 dollars of not . I will go to small claims court. Never use the drive up ATM .
