BJ's Wholesale Club is a scaled-down version of Costco with comparable prices and no need to buy in bulk. It is located in a great location for the South Shore, with a large parking lot. The place is usually well stocked, though some items can sell out later in the day. The staff are great, professional, and attentive, helping members with memberships and watching for tampered merchandise. Customers support employees having their jobs over self-checkout. There can be a big rush and long lines before a storm, but they move quickly. Free samples are offered on Sundays. Members should be wary of people marketing things at the entrance. Designated shopping hours are offered for members age 60+ and for first responders.
Their chocolate croissant is really good, but it’s too expensive.

So many items to choose from and generally at good prices, but do you need to buy so many of each - and do you have room??!! I wish there was more consistency across stores, even in a small area like the South Shore.
