The service and the view was good but the prices are extremely expensive for the quality of the drinks and food. Not worth it at all

I advise reading the many poor reviews on the restaurant’s service, and warn of truly mediocre food. We, too, suffered a rude and unhelpful waiter and over a 2 hour wait for entrees to arrive.
Our cod and scallops arrived overcooked, tasting of rubber and our duck was foul-tasting of cheap pulled pork. Even our drink was wrong-instead of a tequila soda I was served a nasty tequila tonic.
When we reported our meal’s many issues to the manager, she was passive aggressive, equally rude like our server, and still charged us for an overcooked dish we sent back and did not eat.

Went for dinner. Great ambiance, fun staff and overall good food. On the pricey side, but good quality food. Super cute place. Loved it.

Just stopped in to have a drink and not sure what’s up with the attitudes at this place. Check in with the host and mentioned that I wanted to have appetizers and drink, he told me that I would need to sit inside for the food so I approached the bar where I saw empty seats. I asked the shorter older gentleman if I could sit and he looks at me with a blank stare and says “I don’t know, see the host” with an attitude. I then go back to host and get squeezed into a seat on the far side. After I order my drink another bartender wearing glasses, an bandana, and a beard) approached me with an attitude and asks me to take out my s’well bottle on the ground because nothing from outside can be on the counter. I’m a bit baffled and I ask him if he’s asking me to put my bottle on the ground and he replies “yes”. This literally makes no sense as I’m not drinking the water in my bottle, I just have it with me, anyways, the attitudes are too much and the folks behind the bar need a reality check because the way that they behaved was a huge turnoff. So the bartender can dress like a pirate to work in this fancy establishment, but I can’t bring my water bottle in unless I put in on the floor? I am literally laughing at the ridiculousness of everything that just happened.

I was horrified by hostess Kathy’s rude and inhospitable behavior as we approached the host stand and asked to be placed on the list for three bar seats for happy hour. Another staff member actually swatted my friend’s hand off the host stand when he casually and briefly put his hand on it. We left immediately as it was clear she had no intention of seating us. Perhaps if they had some kind of system for taking names for the bar the hostess wouldn’t have to act like a maximum security prison guard. She should be fired immediately. I’ve had great experiences here in the past but today’s encounter was shocking and completely uncalled for. However, I want to give a positive shout out to Giulio who is an amazing and friendly host, and all the bartenders who are very hospitable

Sadly the attitude of the staff is rude, arrogant, and abrasive. We arrived at 1:50pm
to put our names on the Happy Hour list. We were quickly met by Kathy with the 3x announcement that the bar was closed. Yes, we get it and understand. We are here to put our party on the reservation list. How else do we do it but approach the host stand? She abruptly said “you need to get to the back of the line. All these people were here before you.” Again, yes, and their names are already on your list, Kathy. We are here to add ours. She said it was unlikely they could accommodate us. Really? I can guarantee there were more chairs than guests on the list at that point.
I’ve been enjoying the Red Inn for over a decade. Probably longer than Kathy’s Red Inn tenure. Sad to see their service model go down hill. Rather than be pained to see us, try welcoming guests with a warm hello and greet to see you.

With some great advice from a local merchant, we made our way to their patio overlooking the bay. We spent a very peaceful afternoon in the Adirondack chairs, watching the tide roll in. Inside, the bar was PACKED, we would have never been able to get food. Would recommend reservations, if they take them!

We only went for a drink on the terrace and jazz. The musicians were fabulous.
The service leaves something to be desired but it's OK.

This review is to the restaurant! Our best meal in town! This restaurant is SO cute, the building is more than 200 years old, which is wild, the food was delicious, the waiting times from the time you sit to the time you get drinks and finally order the food were a little too much, the whole dinner took like 3 hours which is a lot? but at least we enjoyed each others company! I had the seafood pasta, and it was perfect! I also tried the coconut shrimp and lobster chowder, both tasty! The service was excellent but slow. The place is cute, a little bit of a walk from the center of the town, but if it’s nice outside, the walk is delightful! I would definitely go back!
