This bank sucks. I've had several problems with them this year. It always seems to be a "computer" problem. This last time I had to wipe out my cookies because of their latest "Upgrade". If they had more competent people working for their IT dept. they wouldn't have these issues. I'm looking for a new credit union for my future banking. Stay far away.

Deposited a check from my Mother in the ATM in Provincetown as suggested by a bank mortgage employee and they cleared the check, and deposited funds into my account. Then 4 days later they reneged the funds without telling me because the check was a high amount and they needed to place a hold on it to double check. They make the call when to hold a check or not, but the Vice President actually blamed it on just bad timing and offered zero help. Leaving me $3000 in the negative for 7 days, and telling me all pending charges would bounce while they wait for the check to clear. Never not once did anyone live from Customer Service up to the Vice President say they were sorry for the inconvenience and help. They left me to flounder in their mistake. The Vice President of Risk Control literally asked me to see if I could ask my Mother go to her bank and ask her bank if they could clear the check for The Cooperative Bank as his only solution. No exageration. Zero capability to handle anything outside of the "script" of standard banking, yet they want to have a footprint in Provincetown so they put in the ATM to get business. Small bank, small mind.

Excellent home buying experience1 When purchasing a home this summer in Hyannis, the seller requested we get pre-approved through the Coop. We had already been pre-approved but went unwilling to the Hyannis office for the Coop where we met Matt Berry. Best move we ever made. Matt worked with us on the best plan for our situation, then constantly communicated in a systematic, personable yet professional way throughout the process. Matt and Alissa White made the entire mortgage acquisition easy. Being from Florida was not sure who we would do our banking with on the Cape. No doubt will be using the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod for all our Massachusetts business needs. Thanks - Happy Home Owners!

Caution.. on opening a new account with this bank, they take advantage of the longest "hold" on your new deposits that the law allows.. so, you may not have access to your money for as long as 2 weeks - and little twist isn't made clear until they have your money (of course THEY have access to your money)

Excellent bank. In 2011 I took out a construction loan to build on the Cape and it went very well. In September of 2012 I refinanced the house and rolled some debt into the home and the refi went extremely well. My Roofer was not the best choice and ended up having a leak which ultimately caused some damage. I made an insurance claim and the funds were deposited into an escrow account and released back to me as the work was complete. I was very skeptical at first because I read about banks keeping the funds longer than necessary. Mark Higgins @ CCCB was my contact person and made sure the inspections were done and the funds were released timely. I never could have imagined it would have went this well, it was such a stressful situation for me, but could not be happier with the outcome and the service of Mr. Higgins and the rest of the Staff at the Bank. I highly recommend CCCB to anyone. PS I just got an email from Mr. Higgins saying I actually earned an additional $30.00 interest on the escrow amount, I could not be happier!!!!! Thank you Mark!

This bank has everything to meet your banking needs. Whether its business or personal banking, they will work with you to find exactly what you need. The staff are friendly and professional in all of its branches. Unlike some of the larger banks around, they are a community bank, and go out of their way to help the Cape Cod community grow and prosper.
