This has been a must-see gallery for us for several years. My walls have several small photos by Steve Katz himself and a couple of larger pieces from his gallery as well. He highlights young artists who are stretching art with new technologies and methods, but often applied to motifs familiar to PTown. This gallery is a remnant of what used to be before the NYC Millionaires bought everything up and opened a dozen of white-walled galleries with $1,000+ photographs. And a conversation with Steve is always a glimpse of a better world.

Cute little art gallery. I walked in and owner Steve Katz immediately greeted me and told me about the gallery and the set up. It displays the artwork of local artists, depending on the time of year, he could have 20-25+ local artist works on display.This creates an array of styles and colors that would suit pretty much anyone's shopping list. Memories features such eclectic pieces as dragonfly photographs printed on handmade mulberry paper, solar powered spinning globes and lenticular moving pictures made from up to 200 separate photographs.Memories Gallery is owned by Steve Katz. Steve graduated from New Paltz College with a degree in Art Education. While teaching at Arlington HS in Poughkeepsie, NY and later The Browning School in New York City, he returned every summer to reopen his shop.In 1990 the call of Provincetown was just too strong and he moved here permanently. Please stop by the store and admire the beauty of the art pieces...

I love this gallery. I get so many compliments on the art I find at Memories! I’ve been visiting the Cape and this gallery every summer for at least 30 years and always find something I just have to have?! The owner Herb knows so much and is always an excellent host, I look forward to catching up with him every summer.

A small and welcoming gallery with a great variety of art by several different artists, all who capture the area beautifully in their work. Priced to be accessible to the average person and not only for art collectors.The owner is friendly and incredibly helpful, you can see his passion for the art! I absolutely love the piece I bought and can't wait to visit again one day!!
