Our ice maker in our refrigerator stopped working. Joe & Son sent a team over to determine what the issue was and repair it. The tech, Delroy, was knowledgeable, pleasant and very hard working. For a few reasons the repair took three visits. The business was responsive to my queries with them in regard getting he job done correctly.Anyway, I'd certainly use them again.

My stand up freezer crapped out on me AUG 21st ‘23. I called the Provincetown store in the morning of the 22nd, told them my situation and the woman who answered the phone said “The sales girl would get right back to me with options”, I never heard from them. Called both Wellfleet and the Provincetown #’s , repeatedly, on the 23rd and No answer.I called Crane Appliance in Orleans, as I live in Wellfleet and wanted to keep it local, they were right on it and I will have a new 20 cubic foot freezer delivered Friday morning.Joe &!Sons isn’t what it used to be … ?

I purchased a high end range from Joe & Son that was not working properly. Mike Trovato came out and knew what the problem was immediately. I had difficulty getting service related to Mike being mostly a one person team. Wish he could be cloned....

I was desperate to have a quick repair done on my freezer. So grateful to Mike for making a very late visit to my house to access the problem and to come back the next day to do a repair that will hold until I can get another fridge. He even came back to make sure the fix worked as I was off Cape at the time. So appreciative for their help.

I have had the most shocking interactions with one of the front office ladies, I believer her name is Katie but I am not sure because she refused to tell me her name when I asked her again (she said "Don't worry about it"). I emailed twice and called three times over almost a week trying to schedule an appointment to measure for 2 refrigerators, a stove, a dishwasher, a washer, and a dryer -- all as high end as they offer. I finally connected with someone who said I would get a call back that day -- I never did. I did finally get a VM the following day from Donna saying their boss could come out Saturday, and I called back because I would be gone by then and needed to know if they could come Friday. This (Katie?) lady was very stressed and strident in her tone, telling me repeatedly how "inundated" they are and SO BUSY and just SLAMMED and I responded that I was really "bummed" because I had been waiting for a week for them to tell me this and I would rather use a local company than Best Buy. She raised her voice and was being very rude continually telling me how INUNDATED they are with people opening their cottages and -- I swear on my life on this -- I never raised my voice at her at all, and all I said was that I was really "bummed." That flipped her out and made her really raise her voice (not yelling, just super shrill) and she kept telling me how INUNDATED they are and I finally said that they "clearly sounded way too busy for my business" and that "I am hanging up" and I did. This was Wednesday. Today, Friday, we realized we had to move our plane flight so I could be here Saturday after all so I actually called them back and a nice lady (Donna again) answered the phone and we chatted for a minute and she said very nicely that she would check the schedule (because obviously I understand that Saturday may no longer be available.) 15 seconds later, psycho-Katie jumps on the phone and starts berating me again saying "You hung up on me!" and I said "No I didn't, I said I am going to hang up now" and she said "Well I must have missed that but regardless I CANCELLED your Saturday spot because we are INUNDATED" and I said "Look, I don't understand why you are so mad at me because I used the word 'bummed', but I think it is better if I just speak with someone else" and she said "I AM NOT MAD AT YOU IT IS JUST VERY FRUSTRATING TO BE TOLD THAT YOU DID NOT CALL SOMEONE BACK WHEN YOU DID AND YOU ARE SO SLAMMED AND SO BUSY." I was just finally like whatever, I will call Best Buy after all. This lady needs a long vacation and it is only May, and there is just no excuse to freak at me so badly because I had the audacity to say I was "bummed" about them not getting back to me after repeated contacts and my time here on this trip is short. They clearly are very busy, and I hope her boss knows that this front office worker thinks they are too busy for a $10,000+ appliance order. Save yourself the trouble and the silly & rude experience of dealing this this lady, call anyone else -- hopefully they will not be too inundated to take your money.

Totally unprofessional. They held on to my $3,300 and would not give me a credit for 14 days until I was forced to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. Then the owner of the store, Mike, called me not once but twice leaving angry and unpleasant voice messages about how much work I had caused him to issue a refund. Wait, what? The sales rep told me "they didn't have the money on the book to cover my refund". Seriously? This place is a mess.

I am very surprised by some of the negative reviews for Joe and Son's. I have had a second home in Provincetown for 25 years and have found Joe and Son's to be very responsive and professional. They have always been quick to come out and make any needed repairs and their prices on appliances are very good; inline with the big box stores. I highly recommend them.

Proving that you should always support your local retailers. These guys solved a problem that baffled GE. Pulling out all of the stops they worked on an elusive dryer issue for weeks until finally fixing it. Cudos to a great bunch of people who should be PTown's only choice for appliances!

Unprofessional. I bought an inn in Ptown and inherited a beat up ice maker that was purchased through them. It worked all but 2 weeks after I acquired the property, so I called them to come fix it. Three messages and three weeks later, I'm still waiting for someone to return my calls. I ordered a new machine from Amazon instead. I hope these people understand that this is 2021 - If you're going to be a brick and mortar, you should have good customer service. Otherwise, there's no reason for you to be in business. Update: The day after I posted the original review, someone from their shop showed up announced. I told them no one called me to tell me he was coming. He rudely said to me, "We've been busy. I can leave if you want." I said, "Bye." Seriously?? I don't care how long these people have been in business. They need to go back to Customer Service 101.

Unprofessional, no accountability. “Service appointment” means we’ll come whenever we want, or not show up at all. “Customer service” response is “you’ll just have to wait.” Don’t piss them off by demanding they do their jobs, or they’ll just ignore you. Only game in town for appliances. Good luck...

We needed a new washing machine within a week for my Truro home because we had renters coming. Joe & Sons were the only ones that could help us out in this difficult time when appliances are almost impossible to come by. We purchased a maytag high efficiency washer and we couldn’t be happier. Michael, Joe’s son, was very helpful on the phone helping to determine what we could get in the short time we had available. Unlike the large chains, Joe doesn’t charge for delivery. That alone saves you about $70.The installation team was terrific. They suggested moving the washer and dryer so that the door configurations worked out which was a vast improvement. So far everything has worked perfectly. If you’re on the cape, these are the guys to depend on. Their prices are better when you consider the charges everyone else adds on, and their service is far superior.

Had a disappointing experience with these guys and posted an online review detailing the problem - and Mike called me up right away to discuss it, came by later the same day to look over my refrigerator, and did what he could to make things right. I appreciate the local businesses and want them to succeed, especially in the crazy days of the pandemic.
