We were highly satisfied with the communication, project management, time frame of when staff would arrive at our home, and most importantly the quality of work. As a realtor, I have and will continue to highly recommend Emerald City. Thank you.

I contacted Emerald City to replace old laminate countertops during a kitchen remodel. The staff was responsive, on time with their commitment, and the quality was great. The showroom staff worked with us to find the perfect color quartz countertop to match the rest of our remodeling design. The carpenter extended my kitchen island cabinets by adding a custom microwave cabinet with drawer. The kitchen remodel is finished and is beautiful. Thanks Emerald City!Services: Custom kitchen cabinet construction

John the owner is the best contractor that I have worked with. His company installed cabinets in our kitchen several years ago and did everything promised. I can't say enough about them. I wish more contractors were like him.

Really wanted to like this place and support local business. I visited in-person Saturday morning and the person running the business was "covering" and not able to fully help me. I wanted to switch my granite for quartz and was looking for design help and information. I provided my info and was told someone would call me and that the process would consist of an in house visit for measurements and a designer would come to ensure that the color & cut would match. Fast forward to today, no call back. So, I call and the person tells me that they don't have designers come on-site but that she will check. Calls me back, leaves a voicemail that nope, no one is able to come help. LOL So, I was ready and willing to invest upwards of $15k with you and you don't have the courtesy of sending someone to help to my house. What a joke. Go someplace else that wants your business. There's plenty of other local businesses in the area that are willing to provide service and experience to customers. Avoid.

Hired Emerald City for a kitchen renovation that included removal of a load bearing wall. Things fell apart at the job’s completion. Poor communication between the contractor and the designer resulted in design flaws during installation. Sub contractors had to return multiple times due to sub par work that homeowners had to point out to Emerald City. Granite slabs installed by Emerald City with multiple cracks and fissures upon install which Emerald City said we as homeowners should have seen on a cell phone photo sent to us. The biggest issue was when at the completion of the project it was brought to our attention that NO permits were pulled for the project (structural, electrical or plumbing) which Emerald City claimed was not their responsibility, even though they managed the entire project. They refused to resolve so we had to see legal counsel and was finally resolved almost 2 years later. Too many shady business issues to mention including price changes throughout without being told. Save yourself and find an honest business to do your project.

Emerald City helped me select and then installed marble countertops and a solid marble backsplash to update a 10 year-old kitchen. They were great to deal with - professional, attentive, no pressure and fairly priced. I had been shopping for just the right countertop for 3 years before I found Emerald City. Laurie was extremely helpful and patient guiding me until I found the right stone. She wasn't happy until I was completely certain that I had the right stone. Laurie was also great at organizing the work and keeping me informed. After finally selecting three perfect marble slabs, John expertly templated and installed the countertops. Their fabricator did an amazing job too - with 100 square feet of marble, there is only one seem on the counter surface and one small one on the backsplash, invisible behind the faucet. They laid out the stone perfectly with beautiful veining matched and showcased in just the right areas. I am particular and especially appreciated the beautiful fabrication and John's professionalism and attention to detail. I am so happy with the result - my kitchen looks stunning! Once the electrician and plumber complete their work I will post pics:-)

As you can see from past reviews, there seems to be a formula that these folks use for bad reviews - #1 deny deny deny (I don't know these people) even though they do know. #2 lie, lie, lie and attack their integrity (even though I don't know these people, they are bad), or #3 come up with some other "snappy response". They work very hard on their bad reviews. Too bad they don't work so hard on honest business practices..... It will be interesting to see what they do with this review, and please weigh their formula for responses to bad reviews as you consider them... Are these bad reviews all from bad people and all good reviews all from good people? Is this the right way to treat dissatisfied customers? You be the judgeI hired them for a Granite kitchen and quartz bathroom remodel. As long as the competitive bid process was in place everything was fine. My mistake was not paying attention to the edge on the quote. I called to change the edge and they simply said "sure we can do that" and nothing more. When I got the bill after the job was done the edge change added $875 to the job. They said nothing about this at the time. When I called them about it what I got was "That's too bad". If you do a job exactly as the quote I would suspect (but not know for sure) that they would honor it. If you make a change however, they are dishonest Predators! Beware and make sure you have no changes after the initial quote so they can't turn the tables on you.So, Google reviewer, now that I have seen the owner reply I am amending my review - Let’s review my original post before the owner even replied – (1) I don’t know her – CHECK! (2) Attack her integrity – CHECK! And this person randomly picks small companies nation-wide to write bad reviews – hmmm, that’s completely plausible -I couldn’t ever view that as a lie (meaning 3- CHECK). Three strikes, it seems to me…. You be the judge – seem like a proper business?Service: Remodelling
