I'm new to the area and needed to find a local mechanic so I took a shot with Cross Street Automotive.
My Kia Soul was due for a new timing belt. They replaced the belt and water pump along with an additional belt which was ready to go. The time taken to perform the repairs was well spent as they explained to me the intricacies of the job which was witnessed first hand when visiting the garage while the work was being performed. Their work ethic is both honest and thorough. Using numerous garages in the past while living in different areas and being knowledgeable of prices their price for the job was very fair and reasonable. Bottom line is that I have found two trustworthy , knowledgeable local mechanics at Cross Street Automotive. Thank you Guys.

Jay and Bob are smart mechanics who aren’t afraid to invest in the best tools and equipment to fix your car right. Upon taking a small tour of their shop, I was amazed to see a brand new top of the line alignment machine, a new heavy duty lift for tackling large truck jobs, and many other high quality tools. Shop is always clean, and Jay and Bob are always friendly and treat customers like family.

I typically feel uncomfortable at auto shops, but the staff Cross Street Automotive made me feel at ease, answered my (many) questions, and explained everything in a way that was easy for me to understand. The prices are also reasonable. Definitely recommend!

I have been a frequent customer at ********************** for a number of years. ***** and *** are wonderful. They go out of their way to accommodate, particularly in an emergency which , with an older car happens often. I wont go anywhere else and have referred many people to them. They are honest, hard working and independently own. Therefore, I prefer to give my money to the little guys since its rare to find honest small businesses today. If I bought a new car with a dealer warranty I would go back to Cross Street Auto once the dealer warranty ended. That is how much I trust them.

If you have any problem with any vehicle and you want a fair price with quality work done in a timely manner there is no better place to go to then Cross Street automotive in Plainville Ma! The reason why I say this is I fix my own cars and at times I don't have the time and I have been to at least 15 different shops since I first owned vehicles at 16 years old. I've had problems with all of them even shops that my own family ran! I'm putting this review out there because they're honesty pricing knowledge and caring of the customer is like no other place. I actually paid extra for the job they helped me do twice. It was on a BMW and I literally gave them extra money cuz I felt what they were charging wasn't enough money! If that doesn't say anything about their character and what their company is like I don't know what else I can say. I was so satisfied with the job and the price that I literally could not accept the price because I was saying to myself if I had the time to do this and it was on somebody else's car I would charge them more just doing it myself, and I have no overhead to cover. I REFER EVERYONE TO GO TO CROSS STREET AUTO IN PLAINFIELD YOU'LL NEVER WANT TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE AGAIN!

They do amazing work and are very honest!A family member had a case where it initially looked like one thing but turned out to be another, and instead of replacing something that didn't need to be replaced they sent the part back.I had bought a used car and brought it to their shop to have it checked and they put it on the lift and let me walk around under it and take photos of everything, explaining things to me in the process.I really appreciated this because the car was a rebuilt and they were able to explain what parts had been replaced after the accident and point out signs of other things affected. It also gave me photo evidence for insurance claims if that ever becomes necessary.I'll keep going back to them whenever my car is having issues!
