The staff was so friendly and quick to respond, as we were visiting for a long weekend and wanted a place for our pup to have fun while we ventured out and explored! Shaker Hill Pet Resort
1634 W Housatonic St, PittsfieldI received a favorable recommendation from an acquaintance to try the SHPR. My 1 year old Black Mouth Cur has spent a few days here and there at SHPR over the past few months leading up to a 10 day stay just now. She becomes excited on the way there, once we open the windows and she catches a scent of where she's headed, which is great since she is ordinarily quiet during car rides. She has always come home cheerful and healthy, including yesterday. The staff is warm and inviting and are positively communicative (as needed). They explain that they try to pair the dogs in a thoughtful way for play and one staff member brings their own dog in to play with mine since they get along so well. SHPR is also part of a veterinarian practice which you don't need to be part of, and if we didn't already have a fabulous vet who we adore, this would be the place we'd go for vet service. It's comforting to know that if there was an issue she'd have access to vet care. I might possibly stir up extra competition for available slots for me with my review but I feel it's only fair.

It's thee best smoothies juices and bowls you can customize everything the way you want it but I personally like the Berkshire Apple jacks and the apple lemon ginger juice I get my smoothie daily and it's helped a lot already seeing benefits from sea moss lions mane and aswaganda.. you add those in as wanted! Just the 1st week I've seen inflammation go down brain fog and I just overall feel better!!! Thank you to a great SPOT!!!

Wandering Star Craft Brewery
11 Gifford St, PittsfieldMy husband and I stopped there when we were up in the area for a getaway. We were looking for a craft brewery that wasn't just a tourist stop. We were so happy to have stopped here and met Chris. He was a phenomenal host and is obviously loved by his regulars - of whom we got to meet a few! We intended to stop by for 1 or 2 drinks midday but ended up staying till close. We learned about rugby and watched Halloween related movies. Had some great laughs and share stories! If we are ever in the area, we 100% will be stopping by again. The drinks were great, the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for, his regulars are awesome people. 10/10. Thank you for making our getaway that much better!

They accept any unopened pet food or items and use as emergency assistance for families needing help with pet care.
