I chose Dermody Auto Glass for my windshield replacement because I wanted to support local business. Unfortunately, the experience I had here can only be described as extremely arduous. On my first appointment, Mr. Dermody was not prepared, requiring a reschedule. He neglected to order the windshield in time for the appointment. Once the windshield was replaced, the car was returned to me with a check engine light. I took my car to a dealer and I was informed that Mr. Dermody damaged a cable connecting the windshield camera for the collision avoidance system. Mr. Dermody offered to "take care of" the damages he caused but I never received the payment. I would stay clear of this business.

Wow!!!! Amazing person... If we had him for mayor, Taxes would go down and Pittsfield Would attract more people. I have an old semi truck and don't have much money.. I went to Sa##lite AutoGlass to get my wind shield replace and they explain they don't care for truckers and think it best not replace there windshield, But they will still do it but charge Unfair amount of money. They want more than what my truck was worth. So I was about to give up. Who needs truckers anyways. But then I discovered this guy and he took great care of me and the best part he charge me a very fair price. Wow!!!! Thank God there still people like him. Shame on Safelite.. If you don't believe me call see for your self. So if you ever need windshield replace call Dermody auto glass.

New to the area and there are very few options for auto glass repair here! With that said, this business is a great alternative to the overpriced national options. My 2017 Prius needed a new windshield. The owner was willing to work with me when my schedule was tight and when I wasn’t able to get a ride to pick up my vehicle, he was willing to pick me up. He completed the work quickly and communication/updates on the process were great. Definitely will come back if I have to have my windshield replaced again!

We called and booked a windshield replacement and sent our insurance claim. We also called the owner Michael Dermody the day before to confirm the place and time. We waited one hour and fifteen minutes at a picnic table outside the glass shop. The door locked, and nobody was inside. We called more times than I can count. We saw our "replacement" glass sitting outside. We live in the Berkshires of Mass part-time and had to drive back to Quebec, Canada, for work the next morning. No return call back! Our Insurance can't get ahold of Dermody either! We wasted our only free day in mass for the next couple of months. I now must find another location!!We picked him due to the amazing reviews. I would give negative stars if I could.

This was a life saving experience! Due to the age of my car the windshield has been discontinued and they were able to locate me a new one and install it VERY FAST! I HIGHLY recommend everyone with auto glass issues to check here first! Grade A++!
