After spending 3hrs going to auto parts stores, home depot and even ace hardware, they helped me find the exact brake bolts for my car I needed in 5 minutes. Insane service and knowledge from the staff 10/10

Friendly staff, always greeted at the door. It's clean as well, a nice variety of gifting items. We use the rental department a lot for family events! Popcorn, cotton candy even a donut machine!

We rented chairs for our intimate family wedding, Carr Hardware was able to accommodate our need for same day drop off and pick up and the chairs were exactly what we were hoping for! They even came around the back of the estate as asked and quietly removed the chairs at the agreed time without interrupting our reception inside. They were reasonably priced and so accommodating!

I have been in a few times since moving to town, and every time I have been greeted respectfully. When I had weird needs, like off-season or short-lady/high item assists, or aging-lady tools, I was assisted, informed, and felt able to address my projects capably. Hardware stores are not my comfort zone, but the Carr's staff have made me feel like I have a partner who will help me which is all I need. This is the best of neighborhood stores!

This afternoon I consulted the Pittsfield Carr Hardware electrical department for assistance in trouble shooting a ventilation circuit board. Ed made eye contact as I descended the stairs, and asked how he could help. He listened patiently, and offered experience and product that helped me resolve the issue. ‘Service, Quality, and Value’ ; indeed.A big shout out and thank you to Ed.

Yes, they've been around forever and are at a convenient spot but I'm here to comment on the horrible TV commercials. I guess they are meant to be funny but I find them to be extremely annoying to the point where they actually make me not want to shop there. They need to come up with normal, straight forward commercials that are made for grown-ups and not kindergarten kids.

I was in the Pittsfield, MA store on 11/22/23 at approximately 10:45am. I had been waiting at Walgreens for my flu shot and their bathroom was out of order. They said that I could go to Carr next door and they'd let me use theirs. I am a nurse and just came off my 16 hour shift so I'm sure I didn't look my best. But the way I was treated was unacceptable. I asked the employee (a dark haired heavy set man with a goatee) where the bathroom was. He literally looked me up and down, curled his lip, and said there were no public restrooms. There were other customers standing there and I was beyond embarrassed. Even if I WERE a homeless person coming off the streets I shouldn't have been treated that way. I shop there all the time and when I come in dressed well, makeup and hair done etc. I am treated much differently. This morning I happened to be exhausted and dressed comfortably as I have a UTI (hence the urgent need for a bathroom). This employee needs a lesson in customer service and general judgements. He was rude and out of line for how he acted.
