This is my mechanic of choice. They have better prices than the chains like Auto Clinic nearby, and they know you and your car. I called them recently when my brakes kind of stopped working, and he asked “is this the car that comes in with the low mileage?” So he knew my car and then proceeded to correctly diagnose that my brake line was leaking by asking a couple questions about how it felt when I stepped on the brake pedal. Always great service, and they even found serious rust on the frame that is common on Chevy Equinox LT that had to go to a heavy duty body shop for. We feel safe with them and take all our vehicles here!

Nice Job Jason on repairing my emergency break and fixing the headlamp bulbs so my lights in the right position.These mechanics here are great and honest in their estimates and repair efforts. Very trustworthy.

Called to ask about getting a state inspection. I was told that I would have to have a service and/or make a purchase.Local competitor did it for me in 5 minutes with a handshake.My reply for below: Nope, I inquired about a “State” TNC inspection via phone and that was your business’s response.

It's not a good place for your sticker inspection . Not recommended!Don't take my words, Check other comments. So if they fail you on sticker inspection any reason make sure you go to another shop to find out before you fix them.***THIS NOTE for Kemp's service owner ***I know you unhappy when we're comments bad about your place. We don't want to see your business going down, We want improvements and change to better.Stop saying I'm sorry it's the laws! Take a chance to improve your place and do something helpful for the community.Think about it! The same problem happened to a guy 2-3 years ago and, Today, happening to me. You fail my car and say that my exhaust system leaks my windshield wiper short. The next day I bring my car to another station he passes my car sticker inspection easily. You know most of us in town are middle classes, our cars 5 years+ and you expect our cars to be 100% perfect. Think about it.Last year, I got stopped by our town police officer about speeding. You may think he's giving a ticket, but no! He just give me a Volvo warning because he has a heart(he can say, it's the laws, here the ticket, you have to pay) He choose not, he wants done something good for community.All I said here can change nothing.only you can!Please open your heart and hear us out. Doing good to serve our elders our people in our town indeed. We don't want to drive 10-30 mins to get our cars fixed or get our stickers inspection.

What a wonderful service shop! I I had an unexpected flat tire and, seeing it was the closest option, I drove into their driveway, hoping they could repair it/change my tire. Despite their busy day, they managed to fit my car in and truly saved my day for less than I expected to pay. Thank you!

would not recommend at all. Tried to take advantage of me because I’m a woman. They can deny it in this review (seeing they deny every single review posted as if all these reviews are lies, (which i think is even more unprofessional)) but they did. I went and talk to another mechanic and he was absolutely floored at what i had told him. Very disappointed in this local business. I should’ve checked the reviews before i went.* i know low reviews can hurt a business and i try not to leave reviews unless I’m very happy or very very disappointed. I wouldn’t be leaving a review like this unless i was truley disappointed and wanted to warn others.*since i got a response to my review but am unable to respond myself: i just wanna clarify they “never have had me” because i left and took my business elsewhere, hope this clears up the confusion!! And in response to you questioning my integrity just makes me laugh coming from a business that has countless reviews questioning theirs.

Been brining our cars to Kemps for as long as I've live in Pepperell. They've been able to fix anything I bring to them at a fair price. If the find something that needs fixing when performing an inspection, it needed fixing.

Rather blunt staff, threatened rejection sticker due to us asking for light bulbs to not be replaced prior to the inspection, as they were fully functional.Other than the twist to get extra cash from us, fast service in a pinch.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

On 07/05/2022 I helped my 81 years old friend to bring her truck for annual Vehicle Inspection to Kemp’s Service located in Pepperell. The truck was driven only 31 miles since previous inspection. Previous year truck passed the inspection with flying colors. This year mechanic found that “ds plate light, ds cab light, ebrake doesn’t hold” After the inspection I went to two independent mechanics in my area to confirm that those problems really do exist. Both mechanics confirmed that there is no issue with plate light at all.Be aware of Kemps dishonesty. They take advantage of old people. Scanned copy of the inspection report attached.

I I called for my daughter's tire . Which was totally pointed out after hitting a pothole. Great roads of Massachusetts. Kemps took it in. Called me to replace a control arm on tire. Charged me , then mechanic told me the car was junk and it needs to much. After charging me for parts and labor. I had brought car for alignment. At a different place. Not knowing Kemls left tire pointed out, out of line. . Also not knowing that Kenps could have lined it up themselves. During alignment a bolt had to be replaced due to tire pointing out of line. . Now Kemps could have fixed it right and put tire aligned back right and finished the job completely instead of telling me the car was junk and send me on my way. Bad service Bad communication. I have been going here for a number of years but today was my last visit. It appears this is no longer run by Mrs. Kemp who took it over from her father. Things have been going down hill for a while and its clear to me this business is now run by the mechanics for the mechanics and customers are just an annoyance. You should particularly avoid their inspection station which I am finding out by talking to other professionals in the area is notorious for false failures which lead to significant repair bills. Plus you get to wait and wait and wait for them to break away from their critical business to actually do the inspection. The last two tire repairs they did had to be redone because they missed the actual problem and I had to take it back and insist that they redo it. I am reluctant to say bad things about a small local business but you really should save yourself the hassle and check out the alternatives before going to Kemp.Note on their reply: As you can see by the reaction this is not a business that knows how to deal with customers. I was neither rude nor am I lying. I never raised my voice or attacked anyone--I simply said I would not be coming back. As I suggest in the review you should check with other professionals in the area before frequenting this or any other business.Services: Battery
