Stop & Shop - New England, 125 Church St, Pembroke“Better than average. I am very infrequently out this way but stopped here when in the area to get a few things. It's one of the smaller Stop&Shop stores, and definitely does not follow the regular "Super Stop&Shop" selection. It's one of the newer locations and is very nice inside. It's renovated, new, and modern. Technology is much more limited at this store. Across town, the store on Route 139 is much more spacious, offers much more variety, and carries thousands of more products, along with more technology. Ironically, the store on Route 139 was the very first Super Stop&Shop that ever existed (opening in 1983). Regardless, this place is definitely cleaner than many of the other stores closer to the city, and definitely more well stocked than many of the other locations. Shelves seemed very full throughout. Some sections were really lacking (like how they don't have any office supplies at all); but overall it's a clean store that never appears to be totally busy. I actually like the quiet atmosphere. Overall, a good stop and a grocery store I'd suggest for this side of Pembroke (including a hardware store and pharmacy in the same shopping plaza..... fabulous one stop shopping!). 4 stars.”

155 Center St, Pembroke“I am quite surprised with the amount of dissatisfaction with the Pembroke Stop&Shop. I don't think this specific location deserves five stars, per say; however, they don't deserve an average of 1.5! While Stop&Shop dominates Pembroke in terms of groceries, this is the larger of the two locations in town located in a large shopping center right off Route 3, on Route 139 with several other stores like Dollar Tree, Staples, and Kohl's. It's a large store, and surprisingly the first Super Stop&Shop ever opened by the Stop&Shop company (in 1982). It's not a perfect Stop&Shop (very few are), but in general, it's well stocked, spacious and very large. It spans twenty five aisles, with a full deli, prepared foods, seafood, bakery and pharmacy department. Staff were pretty friendly throughout, and management seems mostly on top of logistical things. Mike, one of the assistant managers I found extremely helpful and friendly in recent days. I will say that one thing that the Pembroke location needs to work on considerably is their pricing. Several items in this store did not ring up at checkout the amount that was listed on their sale sign. The assistant manager, aforementioned, was very helpful and efficient in fixing all the issues, but they shouldn't have happened in the first place. This seems to be a trend with the Stop&Shop's in this area. Most price scanners worked, but when I went here, several signs that have to be placed on these scanners per Massachusetts State Law were missing. In general, it's a nice, newly remodeled, clean store, but my suggestions are to watch at checkout to make sure all items ring in at the correct price. 4 stars for the Pembroke Super Stop&Shop.”
