If I could give zero stars, I would. They never answer the phone, you stay on hold for 10 minutes pressing numbers to select options on their automated menu, and the operator tells you to press 1 to speak to someone at the location and when you press 1 they hang up. When you get to the bank they tell you you need to make an appointment to come in for a simple notary, yet when you try to call to make an appointment, no one ever answers. The most frustrating customer experience ever, every time.

We're going to be short and sweet with this: review customer service is everything when it comes down to a business when you have a customer wait 15 minutes with no result you're always going to get a one star. Bank of America is horrible

I would give it a zero if I could, ridiculous fees, lines, policies. Service is horrible, so many better banks out there. I was in to do a deposit on someone else's behalf, it was a disaster.

I visited the BofA on Rt 114 in Peabody to make a deposit into my daughter's account. I was told that because I didn't have an account with them, they could not accept a CASH deposit. The potential for 'Money Laundering' was the explanation I was given. I could see if it was a suspicious (large) deposit, but $340. Maybe BofA should revisit their policy. They didn't even try to cross-sell me an account - which they had the perfect opportunity to. Awful service! Can you say "inconvenient?" Stick with a smaller regional or community bank if you want better service.

I have done business with BOA for years.I was satisfied with them most of the time.I recently retired. .I sent a E-mail to Mr.Loakimidis of BOA to help me with the forms I had to fill out.He never got back to me.I fllled out the forms myself and then went to BOA get these documents notarized.BOA told me to go to city hall to get this done.I went to city hall and it was closed for Good Friday.I then went to other places (Peabody court,Lawyers offices, etc)to no avail.I waited to Monday to go to city hall to get this done(the documents were suppose to be in on April 1 because of the above it went in April 2.I was penalized ).After I got the documents notarized I went back to the BOA to have them faxed to the retirement board.BOA refused to do this. I had to go to Staples to get this done(.I'm a 70 year old man,as well as a disabled veteran. There was no need for BOA to make this procedure so difficult for me.I wrote the BBB about the above) .I was pleased when I got a letter informing me that everything had been done properly and I would soon be getting my monthly check sent direct deposit to BOA.I was shocked when I got a call from the retirement board today informing me that BOA would not accept the check the board sent to them. The BOA claimed they would not accept the check because there was "too much information"on it.The retirement board advised me to go to a different bank.I think the reason BOA did not accept my check was revenge because I complained about them to the Better Business Bureau.I now have to go to a different bank and do this procedure over again. The BOA is a great bank as long as you don't need any assistance from them..

At the atm drive through, the machine broke down after depositing my money. No receipt of deposit at the atm or in my phone app. It was after closing, but staff was still I the building. I went in an asked a staff person for help after telling them of my problem. I've never been met by such disrespect and rude behavior. I've waited several weeks before posting this and yes my issue was resolved. I thought perhaps I was over reactive and would give it a little time. I've since been in that branch to speak with management who was also rude and dismissive. I will be changing banks.

Currently standing in line 14 people deep with 1 teller working. 5 other employees are out front and will not help the line. This is a consistent problem here on Saturday mornings. If you are open until 12, have the proper staffing.

I opened an account here and got Claudia. In her early to mid-twenties, she proceeded to go through the motions of opening my account and at one point after staring at the screen blankly for a few minutes apologized and said she "went out with [her] girls last night and didn't get in until really late". Now, I'm sorry, but I don't need to hear that kind of stuff in a bank. I understand that, myself being young in age, going out and having fun with your friends is a given. But, I don't go around telling perfect strangers in a professional setting that I go out and party. On another occasion with this same person, I was inquiring about a home loan and instead of running the numbers for me to see what my options were she flat out told me that it didn't work that way and that I had to have a definitive number. I wasted 20 minutes answering her questions about what I do and how much I make just to be completely blown off.
