HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE My wife passed away very suddenly she was a member of the Mass State Police with 35 years of service she was set to retire in 6 weeks I had to go to Metro Credit Union in Peabody to show them the death certificate and to close the account I was told that I have to get her name off the account I ordered new checks same account number but just my name on them then I was told it has to be a different account number after buying them I mentioned it to the Asst. Manager who at the time I was dealing with and she said well they should have told you..... I felt she was very unprofessional my wife just passed away and now I'm dealing with this, I also mentioned that their was very recent fraud on the debit card from Florida and California I live in Massachusetts she said I don't see those transactions on my computer I said I saw them on my computer one hour ago she said well just call this number I called that number and they also saw the transactions that were made in Florida and California that were not made by me I mentioned this to the Asst. Manager I was dealing with at the teller window not at in office or cubicle setting she said those people are just contractors I just wanted to scream, cry and pull my hair out I'm a tough guy but this is customer service it's like I was bothering her. A few days later I took my 3 accounts out of Metro Credit Union and they won't be getting the 6 figure life insurance $ check I was going deposit in their bank, never got reimbursed for the new checks I had to order but I will take it as a loss. I hope senior management see this that their are 3 reviews all with one star.... Is it the employees or Asst. Manager or the members?

Great bank, I've had lot's of loans, I love Metro, there are now lots of branches in the area. Free checking, all ATM fees are covered for you, full service bank.

Worst banking company I have ever dealt with. Customer services is horrendous. I tried to set up online banking to access an account that I have had for years, I called the main number, TWO HOURS later the CSR, working from home (kids screaming the whole time), was unable to complete this simple task. Two days later I try again and got another inadequate CSR (Ashley), wasn't unable to even find my account. Every thing she did she would have to put me on hold and come back 10 minutes later. I told her it would be easier and quicker for me to go to my (somewhat) local branch and handle this in person. Which I did.Being in the middle of a pandemic, I though I best call the local branch to see if they allow walk in customers. Of course the number I googled for the LOCAL branch directs me to some call center, god know where, then went through countless voice prompts only to sit on hold for another twenty minutes, and never reach anybody. It's a complete joke.So I did drive to the local branch, wait for my turn in queue, then to be told I should have called for an appointment. AYFKM. Finally, Carole, the local branch manager was very nice and we finally resolved the issue that should've and could've been handled over the phone.

They are the worst! Rude tellers, bad service and when they update anything I feels like they do it to disadvantage the customer. Leave your money in a mattress in the street us a better option than Metro. Peabody branch is the WORST.

Best bank and best tellers evahh!! Every time I walk in they know me by first name and are so friendly and it makes my visit there that much more personal ! Carol the branch manager is awesome and attentive!

The worse bank I deposit 15 k and they looked at me like if I was stilling $. Everytime I go take out $ they ask me why I'm taking so much $ or if I want a check I'm like I didn't asked for a check I need $ . I rather stay with eastern bank.

Don't try to contact or go to location. They are rude. Website keeps crashing. Poor handling.
