This a.m., my wife and I decided to try Larry Levine's Kosher Meats, and buy corned beef sandwiches.Larry Levine's was recommended to us when we bumped into 2 acquaintances that had worked in Chelsea, back in the day. Chelsea was famous for several fabulous Jewish delis, and we couldn't find a good corned bee since. After ordering 2 sandwiches and pickles, I went to pay, only to find out that credit cards weren't accepted. I had no cash or checks on me! To my surprise , Mr. Levine told me he trusted me to come back and pay him when I'm in the area next.Who does that!! Where can you shop and have someone be so kind?Seriously....where??The sandwiches were delicious, and we will become regulars at Larry Levine's from here on.

For decades, people have said this guy is a crook. That's too nice. Larry Levine is the G.eorge S.oros of Peabody. He LOVES taking advatage of the Jewish people and has done so for more than 4 decades."Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. " - John 8:44

Don't go anywhere else! First time at Larry Levine's, worked with Todd, and brought home a delish, Rosh Hashanah meal, worthy of any kindred table. it's not easy to crank out fresh, MOIST, authentically flavorful pounds and pounds of cooked brisket, chicken, tzimmes, stuffed cabbage, matzah ball soup, etc., but they did!!!! And it was easy or order and easy to pick up. Additionally, excellent sliced corned beef. Todd is a winner-cool under pressure and generous. We'll be back all year round!

I really like their pastrami sandwiches, knishes, and kichelach (bow tie cookies). They have a small frozen and refrigerated foods section as well, including some hard-to-find types of smoked fish like sable and whitefish. They only take cash or venmo.

⭐?♂️ Larry Levines: Kosher Convenience Served with a Side of DismissivenessI recently visited Larry Levines, the only kosher takeout spot in town, and let's just say it was a meal to remember – but not in a good way. The experience was like biting into a matzo ball, only to find it was made from a mix. Oh, wait, it actually was!Their website boasts "high-quality meats," so you can imagine my surprise when I discovered that they primarily re-purpose pre-packaged kosher items as their own. It's like a culinary magic trick: "Now you see it, now you don't… and now it's on your plate as a 'gourmet' dish!"I couldn't help but chuckle at the sheer audacity of it all. At least they've got a sense of humor, even if it's unintentional. But let's get serious for a moment: when you're the only kosher game in town, shouldn't you be putting your best foot forward?I'd give them a thumbs up for convenience, but two thumbs down for not creating items from scratch. It's like they took the idea of "kosher" and ran with it – straight to the pre-packaged food aisle. It's disappointing that Larry Levines doesn't live up to the promise of fresh, high-quality kosher cuisine.I tried to call them to ask questions about what I could or couldn't eat from the large catering order I had just purchased (I have allergies), but their completely dismissive attitude left me no choice but to air my grievances here. It's one thing to serve pre-packaged food, but it's another to be unapologetically indifferent about it. I guess their customer service is as pre-packaged as their food! So, if you're looking for a kosher dining experience that'll leave you laughing (and possibly crying) into your re-purposed meal, Larry Levines is the place for you. Just remember, if something seems too good to be true, it's probably made from a mix – and served with a side of indifference.

3 Stars is generous but it's the holidays. I used to think Todd just didn't like me but i've since realized he's grumpy to everyone... which i honestly don't get. if you don't like people get out of the business. i also don't get not taking credit cards!! i'm not going to download an App on my phone just because you don't take credit cards.

I don’t get down to Peabody often but when I do Levine’s is the top of my list! Knish, Kugel, Matzo Ball Soup, and more. I love their food! My husband grew up in Lynnfield and loves to go to Levine’s whenever we have the chance.

Met Todd Levine last night what can I say but "A fabric is a substance out of which clothing and other goods are made . These are deemed to be useful objects. So, good people are the fabric of society, because they help to make society useful and functional." Support small business and help support the fabric of society.
