I've been a lifelong customer of this Kays store. I've purchased multiple items over the years and have always recommended them to others. It's pretty sad when a company you've entrusted for so long and spent thousands of dollars at disappoints you and basically robs you.THE QUALITY OF JEWELRY HAS GONE DOWN...A $9000 engagement ring I purchased for my wife had lost its center diamond multiple times. In fact, in 2 years, the diamond fell out three times. She was good about getting it inspected, but it may have gone a month or so past her inspection due date... However, she has made it a priority to get it inspected when she can.The third time, she lost the diamond completely. My wife brought the ring into Kays and was told it shouldn't be a problem, that the ring would be covered by warranty, and that she should have it back in a couple of weeks. I received an email today- 2 months later, stating that the diamond won't be replaced as it won't be covered under warranty. They had this ring for two months and didn't even have the decency to give us a call to let us know. My wife went to the store to figure out what was happening, and they were trying to push her into purchasing a new diamond.This whole situation is so unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I will make it a priority to make everyone aware that they are crooks.

Never again will I be purchasing from Kay Jewlers. The quality of the jewelry is garbage. My husband purchased me a $9000 engagement ring and within a two year period the 1ct center stone had fallen out 3 times!!! The third time the diamond fell out it was unnoticed, and went missing- I was devastated. I brought the ring back to the store to have the diamond replaced and was told it would be covered under warranty. 2 MONTHS later they still have my ring and contacted us through email (not even the decency to give us a call) that my ring would not be covered under warranty and we would have to pay to have the diamond replaced. So for the past two months I’ve been under the impression that the ring would be fixed and returned to me. I show up at Kay’s to find out what’s going on and they blame the fact that I went an extra month without me getting the ring inspected (which I have had it done at least 2 times per year). They didn’t even have my ring back yet and said I would still need to wait to have it returned to me.At this point I’m so upset and so incredibly disappointed in the quality of their jewelry. Kay’s doesn’t stand by the quality of their products and put the blame on the customers. I will NEVER shop here again. I suggest you spend your money at an establishment that can stand by the quality of their jewelry and warranties.

I purchased a tanzanite and diamond ring from Kay’s in Peabody store. I needed it sized. I also asked them to put a rhodium coating on another ring I had. They sent them out and it took a few weeks. When I went to pick up the rings they weren’t too busy, but no one acknowledged me or said anything to me. Finally when they waited on me and I got the rings back, the resized ring had the center stone slightly crooked, but they passed it around to a few Kay people and said no it was fine. On my other ring, one of the six prongs was broken off!! Never going back, lousy workmanship! Poor customer service!
