NE School for the dogs is amazing. Melissa was great in dealing with the dogs and teaching our family how to better interact and train our dogs. We had a couple of our dogs go for the 2 week on site training and I couldn't be happier. Both dogs are doing great and responding to training amazingly. Melissa was also great in training the family. She spent personal time with all of us (young children as well) and explained how dogs perceive their environment and how best to interact with them. It's very helpful understanding how dogs think when applying the training. Melissa was also able to adjust her training program to accommodate an adult with a disability. That personal touch means a lot. Thank you.

Melissa’s expertise is the BEST of the BEST! 5 stars doesn’t cover it. In 2004 I wanted to get a puppy. I searched & found Melissa. She gave me excellent advise on how to find a good breeder & what breed of dog would fit best into my life; along with tips to do the first week at home before I enrolled Marty in her 2 week training camp. I was hesitant to let him go away for such a LONG time. I have to tell you it was one of my better decisions & well worth it, which continued

I recently brought my 10 month old German Shepherd puppy Sebastian to Melissa for the two week training. He had attended other training that was based on treat rewards. But being a reactive dog he didn’t care about treats when out walking, I dreaded taking him anywhere! Melissa is awesome, she taught me how to handle him and made different recommendations that are working. We’ve been practicing what she taught us and today when I brought him into tractor supply we walked around, bought dog food, waited in line with other people around us talking to both me and him and he only barked once! Even the sales clerk noticed what a difference in him over the past couple of weeks. I highly recommend Melissa!!!

We had our 6 month old lab stay here for 2 weeks for the boarding with training while we were away. She was in need of training to improve and fix some bad habits, and learn some new good behavoir. We picked her up and immediately noticed the big improvement! No more nipping, pulling when walking, jumping, as well as other things such as not going in "our space" and learning to stay in one place. It was night and day. Melissa is amazing and not only thoroughly went through everything at pickup, but within a week she drove a good distance to our home on the weekend so that she could go through the training with all family members in our environment. So not only is our puppy WAY better behaved, but she also did really well staying at her first boarding as it is very nicely set up, safe and comfortable. I highly recommend NE School for Dogs for boarding, training or both!

My name is Linda Palmerino I have been going to Northeast School for Dogs for at least 18 years. Melissa, owner and trainer is outstanding, my dogs have never skipped a beat after their stay they are happy and well adjusted because of the care they receive with Melissa. I have no worries when leaving my dogs with her. Melissa is on site 24 hours !! I have also had my dog trained with Melissa and she is by far the best trainer that you could use, Northeast School for Dogs is OUTSTANDING !!!

Melissa is really fantastic. She got my dog under control on a little leash in minutes. I have used her techniques at home with much success. She gave me the tools. Consistency is the key.
