Worst bank and customer service I’ve ever been to. First while waiting in lobby I saw two different customers get loud with teller that refused to help them. I must admit at the time I assumed the customers were wrong In acting out. Little did I know it was a sign of things to come. I was finally seen by the manager to renew a CD on a promotion they had. I remember leaving thinking wow that was really fast. She had me in and out her office in 3min flat cuz it was close to noon on Saturday. She gave me no paperwork or account number. And assured me I’d receive something in the mail. A month later after not receiving my paperwork or check I went in to the bank. Spoke with Tammy who informed me that they made a mistake and never sent the check or paperwork. Then I find out they entered the CD in at a very low rate then we discussed. They refused to fix there mistake and broke a verbal agreement and I said if they would not honor the agreement I would take my $ out they charged me $200 to do so. Unacceptable will never go there again.

Been banking with them since 2018,Ive use mobile deposit forever to deposit my checks since I work an hour away and their banks aren’t open when I go into work and get out.Every single time, it’s a different time frame of when they’ll release my check.This time though, it’s been 4 days and my check still has not been released to me. I called and they told me midnight tonight, that makes almost 5 days of waiting for MY money to be released and that’s just ridiculous. Unacceptable.

Worst bank. Worst customer service. Worst experience ever. Lied about account I opened and charged me money to fix there mistake. Do yourself a favor and Stay Away!!!

I enjoy working with Hometown Bank. Live people answer the phone and people in the branch are always pleasant and helpful.

Try speaking to a person by phone is a joke. After staying on hold and being passed around problem has not be taken care of. Is this how they work getting people to hang up and not getting answers

Unacceptable. All online banking is not available. banks are closed. all the people who work there are enjoying their weekend while customers can't access their money. totally unacceptable. pulling my money out and taking it elsewhere Monday morning! never liked this poor excuse for a bank anyway.

So grateful for Kim and all the associates at Bank Hometown. Their kindness and Customer service is above reproach. The changes have been positive for this branch over the last 6 months. Good to see.

Never had any negative experience with my account in the last almost 20 years, back to the CNB days. I did an E Deposit recently and HTB decided they were going to hold it for 9 days, 7 business but you know that is 9, because I have had some overdrafts. So on top of the OD fees that I was charged and rightfully agree to and paid, they decided to hold MY MONEY, NOT THEIRS hostage to say F U to me for having overdrafts, a service for which I agree to pay for and partake! Total BS so consumer beware! I was absolutely appalled that some Mother F er their thinks that this is a good business practice!!

Only giving one star because no stars is not an option. Bank incorrectly applied payments to an account. When we questioned them we were provided different answers every time and the employee helping us even stayed she couldn't figure out herself. Not very reassuring from a bank. Will never invest money with a bank I cannot trust.
