Peaceful surroundings and exquisite church. The mosaics are especially stunning and well planned. So much love and dedication has gone into building the church. Our docent spent much time showing us around.
The Community of Jesus, overlooking Cape Cod Bay in Orleans, Massachusetts, is an ecumenical Christian community in the Benedictine monastic tradition and is home to the Church of the Transfiguration. Worship services include Holy Eucharist, Liturgy of the Hours sung in Gregorian chant, and Choral Evensong. We welcome you to join us for worship, for a tour of the Church of the Transfiguration and visit to Priory Books & Gifts or for retreat. Free docent-led tours are available during Church open hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Community of Jesus is closed on Wednesdays.
