The seal had broken on one of my slider doors. I called and an appt for taking measurements was made within a few days. I was told a 5-6 week wait for the glass to come in. When I called at 8 weeks, I was told the glass was in and an appt. was scheduled to do the work within a week. The two gentlemen were careful, efficient, snd cleaned up after they were done. Very pleased with the work. The only reason for the 4 stars is that I expected a call to let me know when the glass came in.

Had 1 windshield appointment cancelled and another that was a no-show, due to 'employees sick or not showing up'. Also claimed no one answered the phone because the person in the office was 'sick'. When I finally was able to talk to someone I told them to cancel the job and I will report it to Geico. She replied -"do what you have to do" and hung up.

We have used Cape & Islands Glass for multiple installations of mirrors over the past year. Staff is always pleasant and professional. They have installed new mirrors for us, taken ones we have had and cut them to size, and replaced broken mirrors. Susan in scheduling has been a joy to work with and the crews that have come out are also great!!

Useless company. Poor customer service. Never came through with the glass replacement they agreed to. Blamed it on supply issues, out sick, and then did not pick up the phone for months. Would not recommend.

They showed up, took our specs. We discussed our deadline needs. It all seemed on the up and up. They said they’d get right back to us. After a week and a half we repeatedly called back until someone finally promised they would follow through shortly. After more hounding, we finally got an email with the wrong specs. So we had to do the math ourselves and make all the corrections for their tech. It wasn’t that hard, it just took some thinking. We called back until we finally got someone again. This was a Friday, a couple weeks in now. They said they would place our order on Monday. Crickets. We called back Tuesday. No answer. We used a different phone… then they answered. Interesting. We expressed our concerns and frustrations of repeatedly being told one thing and then being ghosted. They finally took our card for deposit on Tuesday. Along with it they said we had to wait until a certain person could get to the order, and that they had no idea when that would be. We once again expressed our concerns with this given the blown deadlines, track record of previous weeks etc. Then we got a call from the owner shortly after that call. He said he was dropping our order, that they have too much going on, and that “sometimes, that’s just how doing business goes.” He didn’t want to hear another word from us. He did not care that we committed to them or that our deadlines were all blown badly as a result of their repeated mishandling. He said he didn’t want to hear about it. He just wanted to cancel the order and hang up. It was shocking to say the least. He tried to blame it on covid, but this was just about customer service. It wasn’t covid; it was mismanagement and false promises. Tell me you can’t do something, no problem! I totally get it and can relate. This wasn’t that. They never reached out, followed up, or made any attempt to help us make this happen. We had to hound them to get a response time and again. We were told things, and those things didn’t happen. Meanwhile, time kept ticking on.In the end, we were strung along and abruptly cancelled by the owner out of the blue at the 11th hour. You can’t make this stuff up. This could have been handled thoughtfully. Instead, he treaded us like we were in their way.I would not recommend doing business with C&I Glass. It may work out fine if you do. Or, if they feel like it, they might lead you along and kick you to to curb without warning. It’s not how business should be done — let alone one local business to another.

We had the best experience with Cape & Island. We called around a few places in Orleans but my parents were more than impressed with them. As my parents are out town residents, they needed a reliable, responsive company and Cape & Island was just that. We would highly recommend them and can’t wait to work with them again!

After having two no shows from another company to replace my windshield, I contacted Cape & Islands Glass. Scheduling was easy and the tech arrived as promised. Windshield looks great.

I have used this company in the past and the work and service were good. This last attempt however I needed an additional order and I was asked for my preferred payment method. I explained I will provide a check upon completion of the job. Well I never received a call back to schedule the install.

We had our home in Brewster renovated by a major local contractor who subbed out the frame-less glass shower doors for two baths to Cape & Island Glass. The installation was perfect and we have had no issues with both bathrooms. This summer (1.5 years after the installation) one of the doors shifted and was touching the adjacent fixed glass panel. I called them on Monday and they had two technicians out by 11:00 am the next day. The door was fixed in about 10 minutes and all is well. The tech explained that the rubber gaskets between the glass and hinges sometimes shrink and cause the glass to become misaligned. The service call was free of charge. I am very happy that they stand behind their work.

Steer clear of this company. Last year they replaced the glass on my slider but used inferior non waterproof non silicone caulking. The result of that was a flood in my house during the winter ruining my hickory floors. I found the damage when I returned to my house this spring. We had a representative from the companycome to the house but he said the manager had to come and evaluate the problem. That was 2 months ago. Since then I've called and visited the office multiple times and the manager has never called back. The manager was apparently on vacation and is the only one who can return calls. A lousy way to run a business. Please find another option if you are looking for a glass company. I had to select 1 star in order to post but it is really 0 stars!!!
