After nearly 22yrs of Not having Birks I felt the need to go get some!! And I used this cool leather gift certificate to purchase them! They have two locations and I did call in advance to see if they had the styles I was interested in but they don't and they don't do special orders. Tons and tons of goods packed into a decent space. By the rotary in Orleans. Two staff. Mostly it's just help yourself which is fine. When you figure out what you want they get it if they have it. Super excited to wear these babies in!!!

Went in intending to buy a pair or two of high quality sandals for my birthday, maybe in the $100-200 range. Clerk followed me the entire time, staring and hovering like she’s so proud for deterring a potential shoplifter.
So I find a good pair of Birks and I get up to look for a second pair. “Oh, you’re all set?” she says, finally finishing her charade of pretending to dust a foot and a half away from me.
“No,” I say.
“Oh, well then I’ll just put these away for you.”
Uh... alright, guess I’m buying nothing, then.
So heads up to anyone else going there, be sure to wear your Sunday best and pearls, I guess. ?
