My 14 year old daughter took a bucket hat that was hanging outside and naturally decided to try it. As she was looking at it the owner came out and in a very rude tone said “you probably would want to try those inside the shop”. Needless to say my daughter was totally taken aback by that and decided not to buy anything in this store. That man lost our business today he should learn to be a bit smarter with tourists that are his business bloodstream. Very disappointing.

Jim the owner could not have been more friendly and knowledgeable about hats. He fits you and puts you in the best hat that complements you. If you are on the island drop in and see Jim it's worth the stop just for his knowledge of hats.

Went to MV in OB and met Brookside. He knew his hats . He matched me up to a great hat. Love the store. Great selection. Brookside is the Hat Whisperer. He knows his stuff.

Great place! The owner was very personable and we had a great time talking with him. My bro and I each bought a sharp fedora. Nice selection of quality hats and sunglasses. Go spend your money here instead of those run of the mill cheap-o tourist t-shirt places.

This petite yet jampacked store in downtown Oak Bluffs boasts an outsized selection of hats and sunglasses - with countless types of hats that seem multiple steps above the usual junk you can find at any touristy shop. In particular, the owner was super welcoming, obliging, and patient with us even though he'd apparently closed for the day, as my friend was really, really hoping to check this place out and, fortunately, was able to find something perfect. So, giving the owner a shout out for going out of his way for us. On this note, call ahead to confirm their hours as they may otherwise close early on the weekends, especially during non-peak months.

The guy at the hat shop is one of the rudest individuals I've ever met within 1 min of being in the store. Tried on a hat and apparently did it the wrong way and when I walked out he had some rude comments with a store full of people.
