Norwood Animal Hospital has been taking care of my cats for many years. I think the vets and the techs offer expert care, compassion and kindness. I highly recommend them for all vet services for baby animals to senior care.

I will say there are some great staff members. However, the prices here are ridiculous. They are definitely very focused on getting you to spend as much as possible. Before we even saw the vet or were offered her opinion, the tech was asking if we wanted to do a 400 dollar test. We opted out since we weren’t expecting to spend more than a couple hundred (on a yearly exam) and they were quoting 500 (almost 1000 if we did the test) after speaking to the vet we feel confident that testing can wait but before hand we felt super guilty like we weren’t doing the best thing for our dog if we didn’t do the test. The vet herself was great and I don’t even blame the tech, I think it’s just the way they are running their business. If you have tons of money to spend this place is okay but just know you can spend 200/300 anywhere else. Disappointed because we live so close to this one.

The people were really nice here. Had a 45 minute wait past the first appointment we went to there, and other people were coming in and being seen first. But that was the only issue. The staff are great, the service was fast once we got in. Great place

Brought my new kitten here and from the initial visit to neutering it was one of the easiest, smoothest experiences I've had with a vet ever. Every one was so extremely nice, helpful and extremely patient with an anxious cat and an even more anxious owner. I'm more at ease knowing if I ever have a question or concern they will be able to help. I can recommend them fully

They (usually) get the job done but put up a lot of hurdles to getting medications cheaper (eg from Chewy for flea/tick) - they really want you to pay extra going directly through them. Office staff not helpful, and today was the final straw - we needed them for a minor issue with our dog and they told us to just go to Tufts as they have no availability all week (it’s Monday…) Not a dependable service I guess, so we’ve made an appointment elsewhere and will be switching vet providers.I don't see how to reply to your response so I'll leave it here. It was a woman - don't recall the name - that I spoke with. If you had availability and I was told you didn't, then I'm not surprised they didn't somehow log the call. We got an appointment elsewhere and are moving on. Thanks.

Says they serve exotics, and locally, they do not.

I'm a recent transplant from Washington and needed to bring my dog in for his shots. I never write reviews but my experience has been so bad that I feel compelled to in order to keep other poor souls away from here. Here's been my experience thus far:1. Overpriced care (shots probably double the cost of similar care in Washington)2. Lack of honesty around pet ages to convince you to pay for expensive unnecessary tests3. Rude and pretentious front desk staff (I've paid them about a grand for basic care thus far and see them for a max of 10 minutes total, the least they could do is not be rude)4. Forcing me to obtain a physical copy of my Simparica Trio prescription (that they recommended) so I can mail it to Chewy instead of uploading the electronic copy themselves (presumably to encourage me to buy from them instead)Overall, less-than-average care for a higher price. I highly recommend going to a smaller and family-owned clinic as their higher quality of care and customer service provides them the customer base necessary to avoid cost-hikes and predatory practices. I will be moving my pet to another vet after my dog gets his last round of shots.
