I rented a vehicle while my car was being serviced. It took hours in the Hertz office in Norwood, MA to get the car. A few days later while driving on the highway late at night, I was stopped by the state police and informed the vehicle was not registered and I could not drive the car. It was towed and I was left to get myself home. When I called Hertz the following day, I again waited hours to get another car. This car was unacceptable for several reasons and was promised a different car that day. This was 5 days ago, multiple phone calls and being completely dismissed.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I received a response with a link to give further info but the link does not work…not surprised, just another Hertz screw up.
I expect a response from Hertz to explain the following:how you rented us an unregistered vehicle, why no one made any effort to get us another vehicle, why employee in Norwood lied about having made arrangements for us with a Hertz store in Revere?
These must be addressed with me or I will take this matter to Hertz corporate.

Ive been renting a car, from this location specifically, monthly for about a year now, and i honestly have only had positive experiences. My car has always been ready and clean. I pick up the car right at 8am, when they open, since I then have to drive to work, and they are always open, on time and have the car waiting for me. I wish i could say the same for other Hertz locations, but this one has never disappointed me. I cant stress how much I appreciate their efficiency, since I’m renting cars so frequently. Thanks you guys!!

Ran by a bunch of lazy low life’s whom can’t be bothered to do their job. They delivered a vehicle that had the previous renters trash left in it and not just a little bit. It was everywhere. Sloppy

Made reservations weeks ahead went to go pick up the truck. They didn’t have it or help me find another car one person working five people waiting called hertz main number they sent me to Dedham waited about 40 minutes for them to tell me the same told them hertz called to verify he laughed at me and said they didn’t. Called customer service and received absolutely no help. Thanks for ruining my vacation can see why they claimed bankruptcy.

The exact conversation had with staff member she hated her job and can’t wait to get fired. Another staff member gave us misinformation about charging the car so it started a fire. Another staff member told us all Tesla charge stations are free and charge the car in 20 min or less to a full charge from zero and it does not. Do you own reseasrch but whatever you do don’t do it at this location !!

I rented an economy car for the weekend as my car was in at the garage having engine trouble. They gave me a Ford Fusion and it was the 1st time I had seen the gears not on a stick shift. It looked like a coke can. Anyway by the time I got home I realized that the car smelt of cigarette smoke and when I got out my clothes were stinky from it. When to take the car back put they had closed for the day (5 pm). I went back the next morning and told them about the smell in the car and they gave me another car (Jeep Compass suv) for the same price. I thought I would have a hard time but they were great. This is why I use this Hertz place instead of one that would be closer to me. I would recommend this place to anyone. Just know that if you're going to use a debit card they need a 24 hour heads up to make sure the bank will allow the transaction. I think that's right but you could call them just to verify it.

I was given a rental reservation number by my insurance company. I guess hertz is a rental company with no rentals available. 1 Toyoya camry was available, not the car that was reserved for me, so really nothong available. The Employee refused to call other locations and was complaining about me out loud while I was sitting at the chair next to the rental desk. Quote "Ubelievable, I need to be at so and so, I can't believe I'm still here blah, etc." I asked why he was complaining told him to stop, and reminded him that there was no car available for me, even though I had a reservation number (that means prior arrangements had been made to ensure a car would be available, at the time I needed it) He said if I had called earlier they could have had a car waiting. One of us is confused about how a reservation works. I was told they open at 8:00am the next day and to try then. Why would there magically be a car the next day, if you are closing soon and I'm the last customer? Horrible experience and no car.

Rented a car for 2 weeks. I unfortunately had to payout of pocket because I did not have rental insurance Was told I would get the "commerce rate" which I believe was like $26 / day ... ended up getting charged double thatShame on me for not keeping my paper work. I have no expectations of getting anywhere with these people so I just paid it .... as I am sure they will chalk it up to feesLesson learned, I'll add rental insurance to my car insurance .... but I would never willingly do business with these people again

It took forever to get someone on the phone, I booked my reservation got all the information I needed. Won't be able to give a more detailed review till after Tuesday when I get the rental or Friday after I return the rental.
