Clay Subaru now intends to charge $90 to reset the TPMS light on my 2011 Subaru Forester after doing it free as a courtesy previously. I decided that it is more cost effective to cut a small piece of black electrical tape and place it over the light (which comes on every time the tires are switched from winter to summer or vice versa). I have now placed the black electrical tape over the offending light - problem solved. I don't really understand the need to charge for this - it takes the technician all of five minutes to reset the TPMS with their machine. Because Subaru used a proprietary TPMS in 2011 a regular tire shop cannot reset the light.

The back to back incompetence of the service department, over the course of the last 3 months, single handedly ruined not only my car but also my desire to ever own a Subaru again. I drive a 2011 Subaru Outback. In September - I took the car in for a 90k mile check up. Here, they changed the oil, rotated the ties, tightened bolts etc. and most importantly performed a brake fluid service & checked all bulbs for proper operation (they specifically said one was installed incorrectly & fixed). We also replaced the serpentine belt & idler pulley per their recommendation. We spent about $1.2K. After receiving the car back, it drove "differently" but I assumed they did their job and "different" = "good". Then, the brakes started malfunctioning and I needed to push the brakes all the way to the floor to get them to engage. November - I took the car back to get the brakes checked. I took the car back specifically because I heard ABS components are sensitive to moisture and a brake fluid service, when done improperly, can mess with the unit. Lo and behold the unit was broken. On top of that, they had "discovered" more work that needed to be done - to the sum of $4.5K. This is coincidentally more than the trade-in value for the car that they offered me next.Initially they quoted me $2.2k to fix the ABS alone and it would take 4-5 MONTHS because the part was back-ordered. To say my jaw hit the floor was an understatement, especially since I was JUST in to have the car serviced. I was not having any issues prior to service & brought it in as a check up. So, I called my brother who is a mechanic to check their work. Not only was the part NOT back ordered 4-5 months and NOT over $2k in repairs, but he could determine the part was in MA and the issue could be repaired in 24-48 hours for ~$1.5K. Also, the additional $2K worth of repairs recommended were not essential, but perhaps worth doing ~1 year from now. When I confronted them, I received what equated to an "Oops, sorry." They then corrected the proposed scope of work & fixed the ABS Unit, in ~1 day.I thought the issues were over. However, when I was driving home after picking up the car NONE of the headlights worked. It's November & it gets dark at 4:30pm. I had to return AGAIN to have the car repaired. Their diagnosis was that "both bulbs simultaneously blew". I have never in my life seen someone blow both their headlights at the exact same time AND immediately after being serviced by the dealership. Given my experience, I would not trust this dealership to repair your car. If you come here, you will have more issues than you arrived with AND will be charged more than the repairs are actually worth. The only consolation in this entire experience was that they were fair in cost when it came time to fix their mistakes - which I can only assume is cheaper than the liability they carry had I crashed my car driving in the dark (with my 1.5 year old and 3 month in it) due to their "repair" work. I am leaving this review the first week in December. Should any additional "surprises" reveal themselves in the course of the next few weeks, I will update this review. Wish me luck.

Today I took my 2021 cross track in for my 3rd oil change. Also, my tire pressure light has been coming on for a while now I wanted to see if they could figure out what was wrong with it. The end of the story is : " they told me I had repaired my front tire already and there's a leak around the plug where they fixed the tire." The problem was I never fixed my tire. I never had an issue with it. I am the only driver of the car. There's only two explanations when they sold me my new car in New Hampshire. It came with a plug in the tire or it was changed when I had my oil change done at the Subaru dealer. ( which is really strange and probably does not make much sense either) whatever happened to my tire.... they took really good care of me because I am on a budget and there was no explanation how that happened!!! Thanks again!

I was out looking for the Honda I wanted and had trouble dealing with many dealerships that didn't help me with my search. When I came across Clay Subaru, I wanted to test my luck and see if they had the service I sought. Immediately when I stepped through the door, I was greeted by Bethann who had the brightest personality. I want to say that our whole process of purchasing a car was terrific through the care of Bethann. I was treated with exceptional service and outstanding customer support. I would highly recommend this dealership, but specifically Bethann for helping me with my stress through this whole process!

I was looking for a jeep wrangler for my daughter and stumbled upon a this beautiful wrangler at clay suburu. 2106 with low mileage and well maintained. Met with amanda, she was preoccupied and when asked to negotiate the price she snapped at the request, delivered her memorized lines, with an aggravated affect, and stated that the price is the price, i asked for the sales manager and he too was aloof, rambled about people not wanting to do the old way of things, haggling for a negotiated price. i bought the wrangler for my daughter and she too stated that other dealers were at least cordial and engaging. We got a really nice jeep, got 280.00 off the price. lol, that's why I'm in healthcare not car sales. finance guy ed was the best! Sales rep, Matt, met him on the way out very nice young man.

I just bought a new Outback and Joe Caporizzo was the salesperson who helped me and I can't recommend him enough. He was super low pressure, and remained engaged with me the 6 weeks I waited for the car to be delivered. There was never a moment I didn't know the status of the car's delivery process. The best part was he spent over an hour going over the vehicle with me, showing me all the features and walking me through the tech. I bought this car to replace my 2015 Outback (which I purchased at a different dealership) and he showed me features I had in my old car but never knew. Joe and Clay have a customer for life.

Nothing but a great all around experience. We bought our car during COVID, and they took amazing precautions and car to deliver it to us at home. Getting in touch with customer service was quick and easy when we had questions. I love going to get my car serviced there. With an appointment, my scheduled service is completed in an hour. Free wifi and lots of tables to get work done. Everyone is friendly and there wasn't anyone pushing me to get any unnecessary service work done.
