I went in to buy a new pair of sneakers and a flexible insole to give me some arch support. The man who helped me was very nice and spent quite a bit of time with me. He recommended the PowerStep Pinnacle insert and had me try it in a New Balance running sneaker and walk around the store with it. It seemed okay so I bought the sneakers and the insoles. When I started physical therapy 2 weeks later, I had them look at the inserts because there was a spot on my left foot that was being irritated by the PowerStep inserts. They showed me that the insert was not the proper width for my foot and the arch was too rigid to be comfortable on my foot which was causing me to limp a little bit and would have eventually caused a problem. They advised me to go to Marathon Sports and try a Happy Feet insert. I went and tried on inserts there and came home with a Currex Runpro low profile insert which fit my foot much better than the PowerStep did, and it was much more comfortable. I returned to the store and asked if there was any way they could give me a refund and was told no. I feel this was unfair because the salesperson did not seem to know he should have had me stand on the insert in my stocking feet to make sure it was the proper width for my foot and he also sold me an insert which was semi-rigid when I specifically asked for a flexible one when I went in. I also would have been happy with a store credit but that was not offered either.

Went with my mother in law because she had horrible feet. These people where so nice super attentive and made my mother in law so comfortable. We will definitely be going back for another pair for her!

First time visiting this business. Took my dad in today for a new pair of sneakers. Tom helped us resolve a few issues. He was very patient, kind and knowledgeable. Also, has a great sense of humor! I will definitely recommend NE Comfort Shoes to friends and family.

Great customer service just like all the other reviewers mention. Tom waited on us and tried his best but had to direct us elsewhere due to not stocking a wide enough shoe for my diabetic husband. Very impressed that he put the customer first rather than the sale. Thanks Tom!

Excellent service. I came looking for shoes but after fitting me expertly for orthotics I bought those instead. I've had problems with plantar fasciitis and toe issues. If your looking for advice and help finding comfortable shoes, this is the place to go on the South Shore.

Customer Service here is so wonderful. I'm from San Francisco, but I save my shoe shopping til I'm on the South Shore visiting relatives, because Tom & associates at New England Comfort Shoes are so considerate and careful. Also they have a great selection of stylish comfort shoes that matches anything I can find in Calif., and the prices are reasonable. Last time I was there, they happened to be out of the color I wanted, and they special ordered it for me.
