My wife and I used Bassy for our wedding dress & suit alterations, and we’re so glad we did! She made us feel comfortable throughout the process, and my dress was stunning and fit like a glove by the end of our visits.
As for my wife’s suit, I’ll let her say it in her own words:
“I’ve never owned a suit before and haven’t had good experiences in male-owned companies. I bought my suit from a fabulous salesperson who was a woman and had the pleasure of getting to work with the extremely talented women of Bassy’s Tailoring. All of my anxieties about getting the suit to fit me the way I wanted melted away once I started listening to Bassy talk about the vision she was seeing for it. I knew I was in good hands and trusted her to make whatever decisions needed to be made for the big day. I’m elated to say that I’m definitely a suit kind of gal now, and will be exclusively using Bassy’s services with every suit I get going forward, as well as any other tailoring needs. Bassy helped me and my wife feel confident and beautiful, and reminded us that we aren’t meant to change ourselves to fit the clothes, but the clothes can be changed to fit us as we are. My experience with Bassy was excellent! She helped me with my Wedding dress and it felt amazing on me! I’m so glad she was recommended and I will definitely use her again!! Highly, highly, highly recommend! Her work is beautiful ?

Wow what can i Say, Absolutely Amazing Experience, Prom Season Busy Time for Taylor's and I was in a Bind, My Daughter's Dress needed To Be Altered, the Work needed to be Done was Extensive, and Time was Running Out, I Called Bassy and Made an Appointment took my Daughter and Had the Consultation, Bassy could do the Job We where So Excited! Bassy's Work Was Without Words Me and My Daughter literally had Tears, My Daughter Truly looked Like a Princess. Could not have Been more Pleased With Outcome and The Quality of The Work Was Impeccable! Bassy Saved The Day and The Prom. I Highly Recommend Bassy's for All your Tailoring Needs Big or Small Bassy does it All.

My prom was in Less than a week an half away if not a week away, I lost so much weight, my dress was huge it didn’t need to be tailored. It really needed to be completely altered. Completely fitted to me. She saw how much I loved that dress and even on the time crunch she had with everything, she got it done with a couple day to spare right before my prom. I’ve never felt so pretty and I can’t wait to wear my dress! Thank you so much Bassy????

I've brought multiple articles of clothing over the past few years to Bassy and each time I've been very happy with the results! She's very communicative on how certain changes will affect the entire piece, and the best way to make the changes seamless so the result will be like the product was already made that way. She's very upfront on the price of the job, and she never pushes you to make the decision right then. It's very much: "this is the required work for this piece and the why of the cost. It's up to you if it's worth it to pursue." The first time I met Bassy, I ended up thanking her for her time and leaving without enlisting her services. She was polite and professional from start to finish of the appointment. Because of her professionalism from that first appointment and the skill I could see on her other work, I decided to return later for different projects.From "smaller" jobs like shortening camisole straps, to bringing down the hem on shorts, to "bigger" jobs like taking in skirt waists, and pretty much remaking multiple dresses (bringing in the waist, shortening the straps, and adding darts to the chest area to avoid any gaping these other changes bring)--every single one was done with clear communication and consummate care. For her skill and detailed work, she is worth every penny. I know whatever I bring in, she'll do amazingly, and for that reason, I'll be continuing to be her customer for many years to come!

Not the best experience, but could've been worse I guess. On more than one occasion my dress alterations weren't ready for the date and time I was told they would be. On one day I was told that she thought she had scheduled me for another day, and then another time she just said that she didn't have them ready and forgot to call me. Unfortunately, I think this is the norm for them since I saw the same thing happen to another customer while I was being fitted. In the end, I held my tongue on everything. The quality of the work was fine, but the professionalism needs some work. To have my dress hemmed, a corset added and a belt added, everything came to about $1300. Frankly, I probably won't come here again. It was a little too pricy, and I felt as though my time was not respected.

Always fast, excellent quality work, highly recommend! We’ve gone to Bassy for everything from elaborate prom dresses to business jackets and never been disappointed.

So I just went there for an appointment to get my wedding dress altered…..only to show up with a door that’s locked and saying they’re closed until July 10th….I called and the response was not what I was looking for. I was essentially told that I must have ‘mis-interpretted’ the appointment date as they “never” do them on Saturdays (even though I clearly had an email stating on July 1st at 9am).Now, I understand it’s July holiday weekend and that perhaps I was forgotten about, it’s understandable. I just wished it was owned by them for messing up vs putting the blame on me? Like that sends me not so good vibes at all. So dissapointed in my experience and will be going elsewhere.

I have been going to Bassy’s since high school. She’s done everything you can imagine, school dance dresses, jeans, tops. After years of going to her, I finally came in to have her alter my wedding dress. She did an AMAZING job. The dress fit better than I could have ever imagined. I literally cannot recommend her enough. Seriously- go here and don’t waste your time with anyone else. Thanks Bassy for helping make my big day so special!!!
