Buyer beware - please read before you do business with this company.We contracted with Koopman Lumber to supply all lumber materials for a 4-house luxury subdivision in Concord MA. Had a fairly good experience until early 2022 when we noticed $25 "fuel surcharges" added to our deliveries - with absolutely no heads-up. We later noticed in March/April 2022, several price increases on invoices for items we regularly used - some in excess of 40%; again, no heads up. As the job progressed, we received four 6-lite Fir doors from Koopman and after installing, began to notice large cracks forming in the kickplates and sap bubbling from the wood. When we contacted Koopman we were told that we infact had voided the manufacturer's warranty by painting two of the doors a darker color. Koopman reps refused to acknowledge that the doors clearly were not kiln dried and properly prepped for resale prior to being shipped to us. (see photos)We had numerous other issues with stamping defects on primed siding, grooves running through 12" interior (grade A) primed pine boards, etc. When brought these defects to the attention of our sales person, Koopman management advised our sales rep to tell us that "we should have told them sooner". We advised as soon as the materials were installed and defects were revealed. We in turn, wondered why the materials weren't inspected prior to leaving the Koopman warehouse for delivery? However, on no occasion did Koopman management ever personally reach out to us or offer any discount on these materials that took hours for our painters to patch, sand, prime and paint. Instead, we received an email from the accounting manager, months after bringing this to their attention - offering us a $5K discount in total on the $1MM of materials we purchased from them - yes, that's correct one-half of one percent! That amount would only have covered the cost of replacing 2 of the 4 doors mentioned above. Needless to say, we're taking our business elsewhere. You're setting yourself up for failure if you do business with this company. They DO NOT stand behind the products they sell.

They are honest and hard working people. They charge a fair price too. Most of the sales people are very knowledgable about their products. I often go in there with a picture on my phone of what I need or some project that I need suggestions on, and they're always able to come up with something. Joan is especially stellar in her ability to help!

I just rented a stump grinder today. The equipment was so good I finished the job in 3 hours took out 5 stumps. Their equipment is in phenomenal shape. Thank you

Will not ever shop here again. After shopping here for over 15 years, including some very pricey rentals (man lift, etc), I had built up a pretty good balance on their rewards program (somewhere around $70). I went in to the store this past weekend to make a purchase on a yeti tundra 45 and was told my balance was $0 with them stating that they delete balances if there has been no shopping activity within the past 6 months. Well, that wasn't even true as they could see my shopping history online. Then when asked what I thought my balance was and I told him around $70 he said that was impossible. Well, I know what it was and it was not impossible. Needless to say, after being called a liar, I put the cooler back and I plan on never stepping foot in any Koopman's again. I consider what they did to me theft.

If they don't have it, you don't need it. Great, big, locally owned hardware stores with locations in Uxbridge and Northbridge. I've bought storm doors and had them installed, all kinds of tools and hardware. Great customer service. Need something? Get it here.

I just went today and rented a Rototiller at Koopmans in Whitinsville. They made the process really easy and they were very helpful. I was greeted immediately upon entering and shown where to go. It's so nice to be in a place that has such helpful, pleasant employees. And don't get me started about the selection in their live gardening section! It was amazing. They also give me a Veterans discount! I'm going to be shopping there first from now on!!

After having tried several other stores this year to find flowers for my window boxes I will never go anywhere else but Koopman again! Last year was my first year buying annuals and I came to Koopman. I’m so glad I started here because they’ve set the bar so high. Their selection of flowers is exceptional. They really have everything and take meticulous care of their stock. And their staff are not only kind and accommodating but also extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I’m so glad I didn’t waste my money at those other stores. I’m already excited to come back again next spring!I also love buying the local honey inside the store. The associates inside have been consistently kind, patient, and willing to go above and beyond to help me find whatever it is I’m looking for, whether it’s cleaning supplies, lumber or paint…I’m so thankful that 14 years ago I moved to a home that is close to the store.Even though they are closed on Sundays it is worth planning your projects around being able to go here! I am so glad they give their amazing staff Sunday’s off.

My father stopped in to buy a small item for his house. Not so important was the amount he spent in the store, but the fact that the next day an employee drove to his house across town to deliver his cane that he forgot in the store. It's so nice to have a company around that is willing to go out of their way to take care of their customers. Thank you to all who were involved in this kind gesture.
