After waiting for two months for an appointment, I was called an hour prior to my appointment to find out it was cancelled with no other options same day. Things happen, but I had taken the day off, the salon had opened hours prior and as a new client whose sister goes there frequently, I would have thought the manager would try harder to accommodate. Instead I was given two options: one for next day with the sick colorist I had originally (how do you know she will be back and not infectious?) and one after the holidays, weeks later when I was back at work. As a person who never treats themself to anything, I felt bad for my sister who is a loyal client and wanted to treat me to something nice that I actually took the day off to do. It’s a shame because we were told the manager was coming in later and it would be discussed. Not even a phone call. It was kind of like, we are busy, we have plenty of clients, you don’t matter. I truly hope the stylist is feeling better but at least treat people with the same respect you demand, of giving people notice of cancellation and making a better effort to help people when you have to reschedule last minute. Especially at this time of year, be kind. You don’t know how badly someone may need this self care or how hard it was for them to bring themselves to do it.

I called here mid August and booked an appointment for 9/7. The booked me with Kim. I received a few email and text confirmations leading up to the date. I show up 5 minutes early for my appointment to be told that Kim couldn’t come in today so could they reschedule me. They said that they left me a voicemail on 9/5 and 9/6 (almost 3 weeks after I booked appt and 1-2 days before scheduled appt). So they booked me the following day with a different stylist. Fine, no big deal. I listened to the voicemails when I got into the car and they had said that Kim wasn’t taking on new clients. So, I called the salon back and said that I was told she wasn’t able to come in, but then the voicemails from the day before said she wasn’t taking new clients. The response from the salon was that it was the stylist Kim’s decision. Very unprofessional. Something is odd, they didn’t realize that she supposedly wasn’t taking new clients when they booked me 3 weeks prior?? I cancelled the next appt and have booked somewhere else.

Facials, laser treatments, skin tightening and hair removal are a few of the services I've had. Facials are relaxing and my skin always looks amazing. Lizabeth is an expert in rejuvenation of tired and dull skin! Lasers are your friend if you spent your youth baking in the sun. Everyone is happy and pleasant, friendly atmosphere.

There are many good people who work here. My issue is with the management. I went a total of 4 times. Two of them I booked more than on service with different people. Both times the appointments were messed up, times overlapped and I was short changed on service quality but not price. I do not blame the service providers. I blame the Owner's. One of these fiascos was scheduled by an Owner who also checked me out and offered not one once of apology even though I know my service providers told him I was upset to the point of crying. The prices are high - if you book here - you must know to not expect management proficiency. The only thing these owners do well is finding talent. (However, My beloved senior stylist was booked for months - I waited to long to make my appointment and agreed to work with a junior stylist, since I had an event coming up. She ruined my hair. The color was dull and not even close to what was done before and the cut was terrible. But I was still charged over three hundred dollars for the cut highlights and color and the junior stylist said she didn't have time to dry my hair because my prior service ran over - like that was my fault!.) I had to go home and color correct with box dye - pathetic if box dye looked nicer then what a salon that acts high end did. I should have complained. I just ended up not going back. But clearly, months later I am still upset.

I'm giving a five star review because of archery, who gave me an amazing and relaxing facial. She was very kind. Upon checking out, I was charged $95 for the service. I questioned the gentleman at the desk and said that I thought it was an $85 service and he responded that it was not. When I got to my car I quickly checked online and saw that it was indeed an $85 service. I had booked this appointment within one month of going there. I went back inside and mentioned this and he looked at me like I was an annoyance. He also gave me an "oh well" look like he wasn't planning to credit me the $10. I said to him that they really should honor the pricing posted online. He finally did issue the credit and apologized. My suggestion would be that upon booking any service to confirm the actual pricing and not go by what is listed online.

I got a lovely haircut and de-mineral treatment from Lauren at New Leaf. She really took her time to get my cut just right and recommended useful products. The blowout was beautiful and the de-mineral treatment really helped with all the hard water build up from the Shrewsbury water. Thanks, Lauren! Highly recommend.Service: Hairstyling

I absolutely loved my haircut from new leaf salon and spa! I came here during the summer to get my hair trimmed before my graduation and my stylist did an amazing job! She was very friendly and provided great service and my hair has grown in very nicely! However, I am giving only 3 stars because of the rude front desk staff. I forgot my mask at home by accident and had to ask them for a spare one and they seemed very irritated with me for making a very minor mistake. I understand it’s important to have a mask with me but I wasn’t arguing with the receptionists about it at all, all I did was forget my mask at my house. The receptionists seemed very cold and uninviting, and seemed annoyed by me simply sitting in the waiting area waiting for my stylist to sit me down. I felt them constantly staring at me and giving me dirty looks. I understand if you don’t like your job or if you’re just in a bad mood that day, but there’s no reason to take it out on a customer who was being friendly and not arguing with you.I will go back soon for a hair trim because the stylist herself was amazing and very polite, however I hope that the owner considers hiring new front desk staff.Service: Haircut

I have been getting my hair cut, colored, permed, highlighted, and styled by Donna (the owner) for well over 30years. I started out with her in a salon in Worcester in 1988 when I lived in Central MA. I have lived back on the Cape fot 20 years and have traveled (gladly!!) up to Northboro every 7-8weeks or so to get my hair done by her because, Donna is simply the best. She & her husband Derek operate a top notch, class A salon. The staff are very well trained, everyone is incredibly pleasant & accommodating. I trust Donna and her staff implicitly, whether it is someone else putting on my color, an eyebrow wax or checking me out at the desk. I always tell Donna to do what she wants and what she thinks best with my hair and I have NEVER been disappointed. I am so grateful to be her client and have angst thinking about the day she will eventually retire!! ????????Services: Haircut

This review is more on service and pricing than the cut itself. Stylist was nice and gave a decent hair cut, but for $85 for a kid and adult hair cut, I was expecting atleast a blow dry after hair cut. We left with dripping wet hairs..

Don't go here if you want the right to choose. Customers are required to wear masks or are refused service even if you are vaccinated and even though the MA mask mandate has been lifted. I will be finding service elsewhere because I am vaccinated and deserve to not wear a mask.

I have been seeing Ellie, at New Leaf Salon, for the past few few months, and can confidently say I will never let anyone, but her do my brows!I am very picky about how I like them done-Not only did Ellie listen to the things I liked and disliked about my brow shape, she offered suggestions and feedback. I left, having received the best wax I’ve ever had- feeling pampered and taken care of!Ellie’s warm and kind attitude makes you feel immediately at ease. She takes her time and makes sure you’re comfortable and relaxed.I have never been happier and would recommend Ellie to anyone and everyone. If you’re nervous to get your brows, or any waxing done, please take my recommendation and visit Ellie at New Leaf Salon!I am already looking forward to my next appointment.

I was looking for laser tattoo removal and called two other businesses, both wanted $2900-$3000 upfront for 8 appointments. Unacceptable. I saw New Leaf and gave them a call. The appointment was great! Lizabeth was prompt, clear explanations and NO upfront payments. And best of all, the treatment costs half of what the others charge!! The spa is very clean, beautifully decorated and the staff are very attentive!! Thanks New Leaf!!

The service was wonderful and when I went to the salon I wasn't sure exactly what hair style I wanted but as I explained the results came out beautiful. The color of my hair is beautiful and it is so much easier for me to fix my hair. I recommend this salon to anyone who asks! Amazing service and will definitely be going back.
