“Picking a shop to work on your car is intimidating for numerous reasons. I've taken my various ars to a few shops around the area over the years, and have settled on Ernie's as my go-to because they are honest, do a good job, and are reasonably priced. It's sadly hard to find a place where you can confidently say that but Ernie's makes me feel comfortable bringing my car to them.
They did a major repair on my truck last year. Their price was very fair. They did have an issue where the part they needed to order didn't come in, and I had to call again to ask about it. They were apologetic which is all you can ask for in that situation. When the part came in, they scheduled me immediately, and I got my car back the same day I dropped it off.
Today I brought my truck in for an issue, they diagnosed it and fixed it on the spot for a only a half hour fee which was a very pleasant surprise to say the least.”

“The team at the Northampton Pete’s Tire Barn are an exceptional lot of people. They have been absolute heroes to our family on more than one occasion.
The first time was nearly a decade ago when my wife went to get a full tire change (all 4) and at the time she was pregnant with our daughter. As happens, hormones surged and my wife was crying in the waiting room. On that day, they gave her the tires and service free of charge because she was so upset, though obviously not at the folks working there, just in general.
The second time these folks came in clutch was yesterday. We popped a tire pulling into work and from there, we had our car towed to Pete’s. They sourced a tire within our budget, rotated our tires and got the job done immediately. I’m not going to disclose what they charged me but I can only say either their prices are exceptionally reasonable or they cut us a break because we were in there a month ago with another tire issue (nail) and they had just seen us.
Point is, if you’re local to this shop there’s simply nowhere else you should be bringing your car to get tire services. Always pleasant, great work, a staff that understands that if you’re in there you’re probably having a bad day, great prices and honest staff that shoot straight with you. Honestly a place could offer me free tires and I’d probably rather just go to Pete’s and pay. Outstanding local business!”
“I have been going to this Firestone for many years, as everyone there is knowledgeable, accommodating, professional, and super nice. I really appreciate all of it. They regularly do all of my family's car inspections and seasonal tire change overs, they've fixed a frozen steering column on one of the cars, and they're awesome about coming out to check/correct tire pressure if I swing by. “I was seen promptly at my appointment time. Cory assessed my vague problem (slow leak in left front tire) and got things going. Got the car back in a reasonable length of time with a valve stem replaced at a good price. Things could not have gone better.”
