Sew Good has made me feel so confident on so many occasions, my review is more than overdue. The location is convenient, and welcoming. The changing rooms are clean and private. The family is very professional, quick, precise, and realistic with quotes. The work is beautiful; most recently I brought in a very delicate gown that needed very intricate work, and they did such an excellent job. They expertly altered a gown that was worn at a wedding, put a new zipper in my son's jacket, shortened my mother's pants and rented a tux for a friend's prom. I have been getting alterations done at Sew Good for several years and have always been impressed with the level of skill, attention to detail, and ability to totally transform clothing items. I first brought in a dress several sizes too big that had been purchased on clearance, unsure of what could be done to make it fit properly and willing to write off the loss, and they under-promised and over-delivered! After that, they have performed countless complicated alterations, including taking in clothing items by up to 3-4 sizes (which isn't something I entrust to many tailors), changing skirts from maxis to minis, removing disliked elements, altering shoulders, adding darts, and more. I thrift designer clothing and have been able to get great deals with the knowledge that any non-refundable purchases that don't fit correctly can be turned into something I love by Sew Good. I've had them alter H&M tops, Erdem dresses, and all the price points in between, and they have treated everything with the same level of care. On a personal note, the business is family-run and they have remembered me by name and details about my life even after absences in the pandemic. It's always nice to have positive customer service interactions and they deliver in that regard, too.As far as specifics go: Prices will vary by difficulty of alteration, fabric, presence of lining, zippers, etc., so it's hard to estimate costs beforehand; however, I've found them to be reasonable and comparable to anywhere else. Turnaround time has been flexible and they've always been willing to work with me based on when I've needed something, although I've never needed something done last minute during prom season or anything like that. There are two fitting rooms on site and in my experience, they try to make it so that they're always helping one customer as the other is changing so that things move quickly. I generally haven't experienced much of a wait when I go in.These are the tailors I've recommended to all of the people in the area who have asked me, and I continue to stand by that recommendation. I will find it difficult to replace them when I'm no longer a graduate student!Service: Alterations

Amy and her husband are very talented I brought into their shop 4 high density foam cushions for two mid century modern chair frames. The upholstering job that they performed is fantastic. They were very patient with me and my problem picking out an upholstery fabric. The end result is fabulous. The pillows also have a very appropriate piping around each pillow which adds beautiful detail in the style of mcm furniture. I highly recommend Sew Good for any and all upholstery projects. I got some pretty complex alterations done involving multiple dresses and fabrics. They were very patient with my request and did a fabulous job, with the end result being exactly how I had pictured! Took a long dress in for alterations. They were knowledgeable and professional and reminded me to have shoes i would be wearing with me. Clearly explained pick up process. Cant wait to get it back! Picked up my dress and they did a wonderful job! Will certainly be back. Highky recommend them.

Wonderful dry cleaner and tailor shop! We went through four mediocre and one disastrous cleaners when we moved here before we tried this great one. Beautifully cleaned and pressed clothing returned carefully hung with tissue inserted with sweaters to keep them in shape. I've also had several garments hemmed or altered here. The work is meticulous. Could not be happier with this friendly, high quality business.
