Just a step off the sidewalk &: you're in R.Michelson Galleries. An ever-changing display of art line the walls. My favorite is the children's book illustration show. Every year at the end of December to mid January the picture book pictures fill the walls & even the vault. This is an old bank repurposed. So many pictures, so many illustrations from talented artists. Walk around, I'm sure you will recognize one print then another. It might bring up memories of reading to your kids or having the book read to you. Prints are for sale, books are for sale. Maybe you just want to wander, relax, dream...just a step off the sidewalk.

Um... Amazing, stunning, incredible, fantastic, mind-blowing, wow. Genuinely my favorite art gallery, period. Got a suggestion to come here because I absolutely love picture books and the things they have in this gallery does not disappoint at all. Here are some of my favorite things in this gallery:- The fact that this gallery used to be an old bank is kind of wild. Like all of Marc Brown's Arthur prints are just sitting in a bank vault which is so weird but wonderful at the same time.- The collection of artists they have here is absolutely mind-blowing. Especially the Mo Willems section is absolutely incredible as they have both his original artworks from his hit series as well as new and explorative art that he has been working on. Other favorite artists there included Rosemary Wells (Max & Ruby), Grace Lin, Jason Chin, and Marc Brown. It was like a trip down my childhood memory lane.- I super appreciate that alongside these artworks, the gallery also has the picture books that accompany this and it also doubles, in a way, like a children's bookstore.Honestly, cannot recommend it more especially if you are into picture books. After coming here, I feel like there needs to be more galleries dedicated to picture book art as so many people can relate to it from their childhood. Loved getting to visit this gallery!

We are in town for a graduation at Smith. We have time to spare and came to look. All original illustrations. Child books to nudes. Has to be a genre you seek. They also custom frame prints. An old bank building with the safe as a display room..

The collections have always been exquisite and nicely acquired. There is also enough variety to pique so many peoples' interests at the same time. The art team there is attentive and also respect your viewing space. They also have a Everless pickup station to digitize your life! Helped me minimize my clutter and make room for the new artwork ?

My favorite place to bring family visiting town, then lunch at the Moroccan place on the next block, then back to look at more Dr. Seuss.

My wife and I had a warm welcome there. We went to visit Northampton for her birthday and it was the first place we visited. We couldn’t have done better because they recommended us plenty of place to check, which was very useful. Also enjoyed all the paintings, the frames and sculptures

It has been years since I exhibited as a sculptor. Now I paint and am looking for a good gallery. I remember showing in your gallery years ago. My work is now in acrylics. And I plan to have 20 paintings finished by next Spring. Some are 24x36 but most are smaller. Would you please send me your present criteria for mounting a show in your gallery? I am Jan zLoomis at gmail. Thank you for your time.
