A fantastic bookstore packed with books (of course), maps, unique puzzles, games and more. Super helpful staff. Buy local!

Very mediocre selection of books. Some items even seem to be above MSRP. I have been many times and only bought one thing (which was on clearance). You would be better off checking out Raven Used Books or the library.

Super cute book place with lots of personality. Really liked looking through the store and seeing what books and curiosities they had for sale. Super nice and helpful staff too!

Broadside is a trove of books, posters, maps and gifts related to books, reading and learning. Independent bookstores are thin on the ground in most places today. This one is a particular treasure.

Are you seriously still requiring masks? I looked in, saw a sign that masks are required, and a man standing next to the sign, flipping through a book, not wearing a mask. Would have liked to buy a book myself. It's 2022. Masks are an individual choice now, not a mandate.

Such a cute, cozy bookshop! I love coming here when I visit my friend who lives in the area. They always have unique and interesting finds alongside more popular releases.

I've been shopping here for...oh, the past fifteen years, but I've been very intensely shopping here over the last two years, but my experiences have all been great! The staff I've interacted with have been lovely and efficient, and are always happy to order any books I would like. I wish their selection of science fiction/fantasy/horror was larger, since that's the majority of what I read, but since they will quickly order any book they don't have, that quibble barely registers!

I love everything about this store! I could have browsed for much longer. I found a book in here that I never would have found at Barnes & Noble in Kansas. In addition to books, they have all kinds of gifts too. And their magazine section contains only intelligent, balanced periodicals. Nothing that could trigger negative body image, and no right wing propaganda. I like that.

Very cute new book store in Northampton! It's across the street from the Smith College Academy of Music, in front of a "15 minute free" curbside parking spot. In addition to books of all genres, they sell a lot of adorable book related accessories - I do regret not getting the book earrings, but love my ribbon bookmark (the purchase of which helps with community hunger). They also have POSTCARDS! There's a bunch of local cards for Northampton and Smith, and the rest of vintage pictures, political, or just best described as random (but would be perfect for someone out there). Masks are required as of April 2022.

Terrible store with low quality books owner deems successful based on own need to fulfill unachieved goal. Poor treatment of local self-published authors they were too dismissive of to promote/consider. Not surprised at the short-comings due to their unprofessional outlook & attitude. Outdated viewpoints. You’re better off shopping elsewhere. Avoid.

I f'ing love Broadside. So many books and cards and stationary sets and shirts and bags and stuff. So much. And it's all so delightful. The employees are kind and happy to help you find things you love. Amid the pandemic, they had a sign showing Jane Austen with a mask. It was PRECIOUS. The prices are generally the stock price of the book (no Barnes & Noble discounts here), but we all love supporting small businesses, especially local book stores. You can order through their Bookshop.org page or directly from their website and pick up in store (save the shipping costs). Overall, big big fan of Broadside. Go show them some love...

Broadside Bookshop is one of my very favorite bookstores. I have shopped here for years, every time when I’m in town. The selection is great. However, after my last visit, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. After listening to (who I am assuming) is the owner berate his employee nonstop for thirty minutes, I put everything back and walked out. It is so disappointing to see a local spot I love so much treat their employees so terribly. I really hope that this young woman finds a better job somewhere where she isn’t being ridiculed in public every day.

The Best Private Book Store in the area. Good ordering services. Knowledgeable staff.
