Because of a sudden medical Issue with my dog and an injury I sustained, I requested a transfer to another class. Yes, I am aware of the change/cancel policy and how the trainers are compensated but a small business should be service-oriented and flexible. I wasn't asking for a favor due to something frivolous. I've offered to work out a financial arrangement. Even large corporations allow for life events. Airlines charge change fees. Not only is the owner unwilling to accommodate unexpected issues but she is completely non-responsive. There is no phone and emails for the most part go unanswered. I've taken a few of my dogs to this facility previously and the trainers have been excellent. Sadly, when I've mentioned my current situation to a few friends, they have had similar issues. Guess I will lose the entire fee. My dog may not have learned much but I have. I will never go there nor recommend Animal Alliances. I generally don't write these things unless I have had an excellent experience and I love to share positive stories. But unfortunately, I felt it necessary to warn others. Which makes me sad because I'd love to work with some of the trainers again.

Only Made it to the first class. My daughter ended up getting sick which ended up resulting in me getting very sick and having to go to the hospital. The first class Darcy contradicted herself multiple times. She never sent me the "make up" class when I emailed her. Waste of money. Not to mention her obvious mention of how she loves the money from working there and how rude she was about my daughter touching her dog. APPARENTLY HER DOG ISNT FAMILIAR WITH KIDS. Nope not having someone who barely trains their dog train mine. Would have been nice to get even a partial refund. Do not waste your time with this place.

Having a great time in training classes! The course is well designed so that you are prepared for each session. The group training has been wonderful exposure for our dog and the trainer is adaptive, patient, and funny! Great price and great experience!

My dog Neffy and I have taken 3 classes here so far. We’ve done beginner and intermediate manners along with beginning agility class. We’ve had Darcy and Alex who are both great and very knowledgeable about dogs (I haven’t had experience with any of the other trainers). Neffy and I have learned a lot- and still have more to go. I appreciate that the classes are capped at a certain number for people. Most of the classes I have taken have 4 dogs total, which means you get some individualized attention and can learn from each other. There are lots of useful classes to chose from as well and even special classes for reactive dogs.

if there was less than 1, that would be my rating. I made a number of attempts to contact the owner as to why I was leaving ( a less than positive experience) she never contacted me. There is no accountability by owner.

My young dog has a good class work ethic, but he was so reactive that taking him into a classroom with other dogs and keeping him focused was a huge task.I took him to a log of classes 1/2 to 1 hour away from our home. Great teachers, but nothing that really helped his reactivity, in class or on walks.I found a course for reactive dogs at Animal Alliances a couple of miles from our home. The class organization offerred complete social protection from start to finish. The teacher was clear about the process, understood the stress we were undergoing and prepared our expectations. The class was super supportive and progressed each dog and handler at an optimal safe pace. My dog knew there were other dogs in the room, but he was not confronted with them in a challenging way. At the last class, I bumped into our partition boundary. The neighboring dog reacted normally and briefly to the surprise and my dog ignored it. Major progress! In other classes, I had learned a lot of training games and techniques, but the Animal Alliances trainer added a secret ingredient to each technique. For instance, with the "back-up" leash focus technique, they taught a fun method of getting the attention of a dog who is too focused on the environment to notice the handler.I was anxious to start the second level reactive training session, but scheduling issues kept me from continuing immediately. It was a good thing, because my dog and I have continued improving on our own, working with the skills we had been taught. We are even more eager for the next session. All good trainers understand how to help a dog learn without fear. Great trainers understand that the human handler has the same need for non-judgmental instruction. There are great trainers at Animal Alliances.

Thought it was okay to leave owners dogs unattended in cars for 15 minutes while they set up. it was 94 degrees outside. I had voiced my concern at orientation and was told it would be only a minute. I ask for a refund as I was not going to do that for each class. I was gaslight by instructor \

I ask for a refund as I was not going to do that for each class. I was gaslight by instructor "don't u have air-conditioning?" wow, not trusting them to train my pup if they don't care about their safety. the facility is in a busy area and anyone could grab a dog out of the car in 30 seconds. folks in the class would never know. or worse the car shuts off and they are in a closed car with 94 degree weather. Don't take ur pet here.

Absolutely love this place! They do a great job of adapting the classes to meet the dogs where they're at, and Darcy is my pup's favorite human. I just keep signing up for more classes!

Animal Alliances is truly a judgment free zone. I say this after having taken classes at other training facilities and left feeling less than uplifted if my dog did not perform "perfectly". Caroline's gentleness, expertise, sense of fun and love for our canine companions made her classes a whole different experience. My dog and I had wonderful times in several different classes. I can't recommend Animal Alliances highly enough!

Each of the four trainers I have learned from all exhibit the wonderful talent of patience. Each can explain things clearly with useful analogies. Also, each are able to correct human errors with support. All are very gifted and clearly love what they do !

Trainers are fantastic, classes are small, and each student gets a fair amount of attention.
