Great customer service,We've been getting materials for all of our multiple projects throughout the years. If they don't have it in stock they make sure to get it as soon as possible. It's been a good experience working with these guys. Good job!

Got a lumber quote online and called to give them my CC for delivery. They no longer accept CC's on the phone. I need to drive to Moynihan Lumber to hand them my CC. Then they can deliver. What other business requires this? Are they trying to go out of business?

It took over a year to get a replacement door panel delivered and installed. The first door didn’t function properly - okay, not their fault. Someone came out, looked at the door and said they’d have a replacement ordered. Called to follow up and it was never ordered and they couldn’t figure it out for 2 months bc the person was on vacation and they couldn’t find their notes or something. We finally got the replacement panel but it was for the wrong one. Then we called to let them know and it took several months more to get a new delivery and it was AGAIN the wrong one! Then we had to have the original service tech come back out, figure out what needed to be ordered again and then several months later we got the right one. The service manager was not helpful at all and was basically annoyed we kept calling. Meanwhile we have a door installed that does not function properly for over a year. There are so many other little details of our unpleasant experience.

I requested a quote for a storm door. Dale came out to do measurements on Thursday and told me he would send an estimate. I didn't hear from anyone at the company. Emailed sales person asking about quote. She told me she would forward my email to Dale. I still never heard back. Emailed sales person again stating I haven't heard from Dale and I think I will be going with another company. Sales person replied that she understood, so I moved on. She didn't even try to contact Dale, she just lost my business. Stay away from this company, can you imagine the poor quality work they do if they can't even track down a quote?

This review is about their job pricing policy. They price "by the job" rather than cost per hour, or cost per worker. This enables them to charge whatever they want. Gouging is the new policy. I ordered a new sliding glass window. The window cost around $7000....crazy , right? It took several months to arrive. I accepted all this as the status quo post covid.What blew me away was the installation. $2600 for 2 guys for 5 hour job.That is 10 hours or $260 hour per worker. I get it that there are costs for insurance, truck, etc. But I have never experienced this type of gouging.I asked for an itemization of the install. Dale told me that he could not give me one because that is not how they price out jobs. I am still horrified, will never shop at Moynihan Lumber again.

If you are not a contractor don't waste your time here. I think DIYers are mostly unwelcome. Home Depot is cheaper, faster, higher quality with better organization & customer service (respect). I have tried 3x in the last 60 days it's just not worth my time to deal with the desk staff.

Good place, i go here for lumber when working in the area, eg. red cedar, etc, especially good selection of dimensional non-standard lumber

The window & door selection & installation folks are the only group at Moynihan that welcome non-trade (civilian) customers and they seem well organized & ready to work w you. The rest of the store (lumber, hardware, tools) make it quite clear that, if your not a tradesman, your not welcome there. For the latter categories, there are plenty of other area lumber yards w quality stock that welcome DIYers before you need to stoop to Home Depot.
