Rosa and her team were fantastic to work with for altering my wedding gown. The service was on the pricier side, but I had a fair amount done to my dress and there was a lot of embroidery detail they had to work with. They were transparent with their prices from the beginning and suggested several realistic options for the changes I wanted and made sure I was happy moving forward each step of the way.

Rosa did an amazing job altering my wedding dress for my wedding in May of this year--everything looked perfect for the wedding day and I was super happy with the dress. She also was such an important emotional support throughout the process, and never judgemental about decisions around the dress, or wedding nerves, or anything like that. Both my mom and I loved her. I will continue to come to Rosa for alterations in the future!

I cannot recommend Rosa at Touch of Design highly enough! From our very first interaction, her communication was exceptional—she looked at the dress and heard my concerns with genuine interest and provided valuable insights that truly eased my worries about the process. She was able to take in the dress even with a mesh backing.
Throughout the fitting sessions, she was incredibly accommodating, working around my schedule and making me feel comfortable every step of the way. I missed an appointment but was able to reschedule in a timely manner and everything turned out perfect!
Her expertise and attention to detail really shone through, resulting in a wedding dress that was not only stunning but fit me like a glove. The bustle was done incredibly well!
The craftsmanship was impeccable; every stitch reflected her skill and dedication. I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day, and I owe so much of that to Rosa and everyone that helped me at Touch of Design in Easton MA. If you're looking for a seamstress who combines professionalism with a personal touch, look no further—she's simply the best!

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to Touch of Design. I went two months prior to my wedding date to start wedding dress alterations - my first appointment with Rosa was great. She instantly made me feel comfortable in discussing what I wanted done to the dress and where she saw areas that could be altered for the dress to fit perfectly. She was transparent about pricing and we were able to schedule my two fitting appointments and pick up date from there. At each appointment, Rosa asked me how I felt, explained everything she was doing, and eased any anxiety I had. My dress had a lot of lace so during the alterations process I was nervous of how the dress would fully come together. Today I picked up my dress and I am IN LOVE. It is perfect and I can’t wait to wear it on my big day! I was also able to purchase a veil last minute from the store which is great quality and was a fair price. I will continue going to Rosa going forward for any alterations I need and will be encouraging others to do the same. Thank you so much Rosa!!!

My sister got her wedding dress last December and we began the alteration process here in January (8 months before her upcoming wedding). On the surface/at the start, Rosa and her business seem reputable, but this appears to be a cover for her shoddy work.
From January to just last weekend, my sister had over 10 fittings here. Multiple times throughout this process and especially more towards the end, Rosa would constantly ask us to send her photos and notes of alterations to make. Yet, she would never reference these and then forget that these were sent by the time the next fitting rolled around. The red flags appeared when she would request these since this should be her job to notate, keep track of, and review between fittings. Along with this, Rosa would tack on additional charges that brought the bill close to $2k by the end of this nightmare.
When the final fitting arrived, the dress had zero progress since the previous fitting. The alterations that we had discussed countless times with Rosa over the course of this year were not implemented. Something as simple as a twisted strap that had been bothering my sister for months was still untouched. We shared our anxieties with Rosa and Fiona (one of her employees) and they claimed it would be all done for pickup. To our dismay and utter disappointment, this was not the case. Upon pickup 10 days later, the dress looked exactly the same. The entire bodice section looked butchered and like two separate pieces instead of that delicate, stunning dress that we originally brought to this place. After we heavily expressed our shock and questioned Rosa, she said she would tweak the dress within the span of a day and a half.
When we came back that same weekend, Rosa did a rush job on my sister's dress to get it to a more finished, yet still incomplete state. Some of the floral appliqué was still upright, the cups weren't sewn in (we didn't trust Rosa at this point and she wasn't positioning these correctly), and it wasn't steamed. She had the audacity to not even express her apologies and didn't compensate through a refund. In fact, she demanded that we pay her for the full remaining balance after our entire ordeal (dress wasn't complete by the contractual date and wasn't done to how we agreed it should look). We were forced to pay Rosa for the hem and bustle, which weren't done correctly by her. Since we picked it up last weekend, we had to bring it to another seamstress to fix and complete the remaining alterations. Thankfully this new seamstress was able to take my sister's dress last-minute and noted that she has to fix what Rosa had done and finally complete this dress to how it should be.
The true icing on the cake is that Rosa admitted to me that she doesn't inspect and look at the work that her staff does on the garments, which is highly UNPROFESSIONAL. How can a business owner allow this work to slip by and feel like it's okay? Then, she doesn't feel compelled to make it right for the customer. It is evident that she is a huge money-grubber with no care for her faults and the customer experience.
In my opinion, Rosa masquerades her business as one that is top-notch, when the opposite is actually true. As my sister said, Rosa should consider rebranding her store to "Touch of Lies."
For the sake of posting this review to share with others, I had to put one star... not even deserving of that. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from here! If you want your clothing alterations to be done correctly and on time, don't go within 10 feet of this place—steer clear!

Would give ZERO STARS if I could. Should be called TOUCH OF LIES.
I bought my wedding dress back in December and started alterations in early January, more than 8 months before my wedding. When I first went to this business, they came off professionally, which I know now to be a complete facade and act to fool brides and customers into doing business with them. The owner, Rosa, uses excessive flattery during fittings.
In January, we decided to proceed with Rosa because we were fooled like so many others. We came in for close to 10 fittings. In April, I noticed she was trying to add on extra charges as she said more needed to be done than what she originally told us back in January. The prices are heavily inflated and she charges whatever she feels at the time. There is no pricing list.
During that time period, we went for fitting after fitting with no work being done on the dress. During this process, she was asking my mom and sister for alterations notes on what other adjustments needed to be done. I’m not sure why a business owner needs the customer to take notes for them as their personal assistant. We also sent reference photos via email and text message throughout the process. At the final fitting and pickup date, she still requested the same photos and did not recall receiving them, which now makes sense because she wasn’t referencing them. This is one of the reasons why my dress looked drastically different than how we both discussed it should look.
We kept pointing out things that still needed to be fixed only to be told that it would be handled at our final fitting. Even at my final fitting, my dress was split into two pieces, buttons were missing, and a simple strap was sewn on incorrectly and twisted. I told Rosa and her staff how concerned I was that the alterations were not resolved. She proceeded to tell me that all would be fixed now at the pickup vs. final fitting. We still asked if we should come back because we wanted to make sure before the pickup on 8/16 that it would be in fact ready. We were told no need to come in before, it will be done by 8/16.
The pickup came 10 days later and again, nothing was done on 8/16. Mind you that the week of pickup, I called once and was told by Fiona the dress was being worked on and would be ready for my pickup. My mom also called and spoke with Rosa herself. She told my mom the dress was “all set.” We went the next day at pickup and NOTHING was done. I was so upset and vocalized this to her. I told her she lied and did not deliver (when she had over 8 months to do the work). She kept saying the work could not be done that night. This is unacceptable when a contract is signed and she gaslighted us all week about the dress being ready.
When I went for the new pickup date, we spent another 2+ hours there still pointing out issues with the dress. Rosa still expected another $580 after already charging $1,260 originally. This brought the final bill to close to $2,000. The alterations cost almost the equivalent of my wedding dress. I explained that this was outrageous to ask for the full amount and still not have things done as they should be, and because of all mental anguish. This is where she just shut down and said “you have to pay and I don’t care.” We paid the bill. Regardless of what she says, she is clearly only after the money and does not care about making customers happy or righting her wrongs.
If you are a former bride who had a good experience, I’m happy for you. Sadly, this was not our case and we saw many other brides having massive issues. Rosa likes to hide away brides and smooth things over when other customers are there. It’s her covering up the truth that people are upset because things are not done properly.
For future brides, do not look past the bad reviews. I’ve been noticing a lot of bad reviews lately and sadly I have to be another one added to the mix. This ordeal could have been avoided if they

Rosa is simply the best. My wedding gown was perfect and she listened to every detail. I’ve gone back to her twice now for other dresses because I simply can’t see anyone else doing as beautiful a job as she does. You get the best of the best with her and I’m so thankful that I met her!

Rosa is the BEST in the business. I couldn't have trusted anyone more to tailor my wedding gown. Rosa's 30+ years of experience paired with her incredibly meticulous approach to tailor and design made me so grateful to have her as my seamstress for my most important day. Rosa can take a dress and turn it into a custom gown, designed specifically for your body. She not only alters it, but she designs the alterations with you, every step of the process. Rosa is transparent with pricing, especially with each adjustment along the way. She does her best to give you multiple alteration options to work within your budget. She cared for every detail to make sure it was the perfect fit. Aside from her talent, she is incredibly kind and puts your needs first. She goes out of her way to spend as much time as you need during the appointments and offers for you to come as often as you want for fittings. She made me feel so confident in my wedding gown and I look back on pictures with so much appreciation for her craft. I cannot recommend Rosa enough!

I had a horrible experience with touch of design and would not recommend them to ANYONE. I came in for my first wedding dress consultation in January, for my August wedding. My dress needed a hem, the bust taken in, the waist taken out a little bit, and a bustle. I was quoted $1400 for these alterations, and had been made to feel like it was urgent that alterations need to begin that month because we were already cutting it close with timing. And not knowing how much alterations typically are, I honestly just didn’t realize how crazy the price was at the time and decided to go with them, because I didn’t feel like I had the option to look at other seamstresses with this “time crunch”. Rosa was also incredibly sweet and appeared knowledgeable at this first consultation so I felt good about everything.
My appointments were pre-scheduled at my first visit in Jan, my final fitting date was 7/23 and pick up on 8/2. When I arrived to my “final fitting”, the entire top of my dress was still pinned and the top layer of fabric was open. I immediately voiced my concerns that I was worried once everything is closed up, the dress would be too tight/change the way it fit, and asked her if I could come in once more before my pick up date. I was reassured that when I came in on 8/2, the dress would fit exactly the same. I left feeling great about how it looked.
Then the nightmare began on 8/2 when I came in to pick up my dress and teach my MOH how to do the bustle. It turned into a 4 hour long appt and we were there until 9pm, because my dress was ruined. The straps sat 1/2 above my shoulders, the bust was gaping so badly I could see straight down my chest, and the chest/waist was so tight, the zipper clip busted off with my first small breath in. Not only was Rosa argumentative, asking me if i was “on my period” to explain why the dress didn’t fit, and saying they “didn’t change the dress at all”, when a week prior it fit perfectly, but she continuously asked me “what I want her to do to fix it”, when I explained what was wrong with the fit to her. I had to repeatedly tell her that she is the professional, I am not a seamstress, and it is her job to listen to the issues I’m telling her and figure out herself how to fix them. It was incredibly stressful and ruined what was supposed to be an exciting day, less than 2 weeks before my wedding.
Icing on the cake is that my mom’s gown was also being altered by Rosa, and her pickup day was supposed to be at our appt on 7/23 with me. They called her same day to cancel, but assured her it would be ready on 8/2 since she was coming with me to that appt. When we arrived on 8/2, her dress was not done and still pinned, despite it being started in Feb. They tried to tell her she needed to come back or they could “ship” it to her house, to which we obviously refused and waited while they completed it that day as we had less than 2 weeks until the wedding. And for a hem and taking it in at the top, it cost her around $600 after the small discount Rosa gave us due to our “troubles”.
In the end, our dresses came out fine (my wedding is now next week, hoping there are no further issues with my dress). But if I can save even one bride from getting absolutely ROBBED for an unprofessional and stressful experience, this is my attempt.

Rosa and her team did a great job on the alterations for my wedding dress. I was a little short on time and had 7-8 sessions to make sure everything fit perfectly. Each fitting Rosa listened to any concerns i had and made sure to address them which alleviated my stress. The alterations were a significant investment but my dress was intricate and had 7 layers. i felt it was all worth it as the quality of work was perfection and I highly recommend Rosa and her team.

Rose and her team were complete life savers!!! I came to Touch of Design with a small request to update my wedding dress bustle which was done by a different tailor. Rosa took one look at my dress and knew that it was not completed and there was still work to be done to make it perfect for my wedding. I had complete trust for the team here and they were able to tailor my dress perfectly! Not to mention I had a very quick turn around time! I’d recommend Touch of Design to everyone!
