I stopped by Joanns for my elderly mother who is not very mobile.. my mother is a seamstress and needed a new needle but I personally don’t know much about sewing needles myself… I was greeted by a friendly woman but she referred me to Denise so I can show her the needle my mother had me bring in. Denise was extremely rude and condescending giving me a hard time for absolutely no reason making the whole experience so complicated. I was frustrated so I called my mother because Denise kept going on and on asking me what does she use it for? What size needle? What fabrics is it for? etc etc.. I explained to her my mother just wants the same needle or something as close as possible. Denise told me that I didn’t have to call my mother but obviously I did! My mother also became annoyed because this needle IS FOR EVERY FABRIC .. I tried to explain that to Denise but she just kept going on about how does my mother not know this or that if she’s a seamstress. It was absolutely ridiculous and I considered going somewhere else for my purchase. Another customer also overheard me and my moms convo and she said yes you can use the needle for everything sweetie Denise does not know what she is talking about.. we are seamstresses we know we can use this needle for everything!! If you’re miserable with yourself and your life please don’t work in customer service if you can’t treat people with common respect and grace! This experience was a joke!

The young man at the counter was great. You could tell he liked his job. The floor staff..different story. One person told me they didn't carry a certain item because she didn't want to break up a social gathering to help me. FYI..I found it on my own. Staff just could be a little more helpful.
