“I visited the shop today and found exactly what I was looking for straight away. While browsing, I found another yarn that I like that was marked down. The lovely person working there took the time to help me check the yardage for a pattern and make sure that they had enough of the yarn left in the color I wanted. We had a lovely chat and I will definitely make the trip up there again. 10/10 !”

“I've been very impressed with the customer service. Jim carries a great selection of kites and kite gear. We purchased the 13 foot Rainbow Bol and can't wait to get out to the beach to fly it.”

“I dropped by for the Settlers of Catan tournament earlier this fall. It was a comfortable and welcoming place to enjoy the day. Russ was a really generous host, and the selection of games is the best around!”

“Expert and friendly assisstance given when i came in with my RC buggy. I had three batteries each with different connectors. They took my buggy, a Duramax, and converted it and the batteries to a common hi power connector for a reasonable cost. Best hobby shop around.”

“I love my local R/C store! Unlike most R/C hobby stores, Scott offers a unique benefit — he always has some good used vehicles among the many new products on his shelves. Ask him about trading up when you’re ready for more speed, a larger size, or just something different. He still offers great service and knows his stuff around Radio Control cars and trucks (Traxxas a specialty), and will cheerfully order parts you may need if not already in stock.

This is my preferred store for anything R/C … and I’ve been known to pick up some rare coins and other items from his glass display case, including an antique aircraft clock! SO MUCH to see in a small but packed shop! Worth a visit!”

“Hero City is the best spot around, as an avid collector, gamer and nerd enthusiast Hero City is my go to for all things cards, games, and retro. The owner Ko is always kind and personable, reasonable and fair for prices and trades. Skip Core, skip Bullmoose, head over and check it out. You will likely find that game that will bring you back to the good old days, for a good price, or that gem you didnt even know you wanted. At the very least stop by and check things out, talk up the great Ko, and you'll get what Im saying. Skip the overpriced and unfriendly spots (ehem..Core, Bullmoo), you'll be glad you stopped by!!!
Sincerely, Quinn”

“First went to Batter Up in the late 90s back when I was a kid, and they were in the smaller location across the street. Same guys/family still own it, and are always very friendly & helpful. Great selection of sports cards, memorabilia, TCGs like Pokémon, products like sleeves/top loaders/binders, etc. Highly recommend anyone who's in the area, and interested to check em out!”
