While the shoddy haircut was forgivable, the owners demeanor towards animals in their care is not. Cold and transactional would be generous; extremely rude and visibly irritated to be dealing with dogs… well, probably generous as well.
Yes, it’s a business. No, I’m not leaving my dog with someone who treats the interaction like I’m buying gas station tacos from someone very overdue for a smoke break.
Kudos to the reviewer who decided to tell us what it like behind the scenes. Despite the owners condescending response, their story lines up quite well with our experience there.

My cat needed double paw nail trim, anal glands expressed, and bath. It was his first time. He was great with everything being done on him. I’m so appreciative to Sarrah for transforming my smelly boy. I love there’s a separate cat area.

Top notch service! These folks are amazing and very professional. They have groomed my somewhat difficult dog for several months now and I can't get over what a great job they do. Really appreciate that they are here locally. We have used other groomers in the past but Groomtown for us is the best we've found in the Merrimack Valley!

I brought my 1 year old cat and 5 month old kitten here. I made a point of telling the owner that this was the first time they would be groomed. The website states they have a “cat spa where felines are completely separated from the dogs”. When I picked up my cats they were in their carriers up front, completely unattended with the finished dogs. The noise level from the dogs barking at them was deafening. Both cats were traumatized by the experience. I am both disappointed and angry. I do not recommend this place for cat grooming.Update after owner response:Thank you for your reply but perhaps you should update your website that specifically states that cats will be kept separated from dogs.

My two British Shorthairs only had baths at home, and I felt it was time they had a professional grooming. I was so relieved to find a cat groomer in my area. My girls came home sparkling and also in good spirits! I was nervous that the experience would be traumatizing (you know how cats are), but I could tell they were handled with love and care. Their coats and claws looked fantastic, and the service was excellent. Thank you so much!
